Cozy Cottage on the Caddo River

Adorable little cabin! Our family spent 5 nights here for our annual Caddo River trip. The cabin was nicely decorated and had plenty of sleeping space for the 5 kids we had with us. The swimming spot was a good walk especially if you have small children, kayaks, toys, ice chests, etc. it would have been a long week if we hadn’t taken our side by side. It was a lifesaver! Just beware that it’s a good little hike over there if you are carrying something, especially a child! When you get there, the spot is perfect for swimming, fishing, kayaking. The only real complaint is that with temperatures in the 90’s, the loft was VERY hot at night for sleeping. U it had two mini splits that work fine, but it’s warm upstairs and they can’t keep up. I contacted the host a few times during our stay and he promptly replied. I recommended window tint or window coverings upstairs to help with the heat. The sun shines in all day and it just gets hot. There was no working internet which was a problem for kids at night but once again, the host was quick to respond and the next day an internet truck was there digging so I’m assuming the problem will be fixed for the next guests. Overall, it was a good stay and we had a great time!
