Hosteria Villa Cardon

Bearing in mind Cachi’s relatively remote location, this is a small, basic B&B with just a few rooms. Ours was spacious and clean, but with old, tired furniture. The bathroom was basic too, but didn’t lack for a powerful shower of hot water. We dined in on one evening (it was also a café during the day) and enjoyed an excellent meal with glasses of good wine, poured in generous portions. The owner, Augustín, was welcoming and kind. Breakfasts were a bit carbohydrate heavy and random but always generous and pleasant enough. Good fresh orange juice and ripe avocado. This was not our first choice as El Cortijo, where we’ve stayed before, was fully booked. If we were to return to Cachi for a third time, our first choice would still be El Cortijo, but if full this would be our next choice, having seen what else is available. If your budget won’t stretch to El Cortijo’s prices, then you should definitely consider staying here.

With friendly staff and spacious rooms. It really honored the region (for example using cactuses in the ceiling). The breakfast is simple but freshly eggs are baked for you if wanted. It is clean. They even offered a welcome drink. That was nice. Maybe a bit improvement on their WiFi. In case you are with a car, you can park in front of the Hosteria.

Accueil sympathique dans ce mini établissement de chambres d’hôtes qu’on ne saurait qualifier d’hôtel. Les chambres sont basiques avec salle de bain minuscule où l’on ne saurait faire tenir une simple brosse à dents. Literie d’une propreté douteuse vu les taches sur les draps et l’édredon. Pas moyen de trouver une surface plane où poser un laptop même dans les espaces communs. Pour consulter ses mails, il vaut mieux aller chercher une terrasse ailleurs. Excellent petit déjeuner même s’il faut s’armer de patience car tout est fait à la demande. Bref, une adresse acceptable davantage pour l’accueil et la localisation que pour le confort et la propreté.
