Surfbreak Cabarete Surf & Yoga Resort

The location is beautiful, calm, and feels very safe – I felt completely comfortable walking around alone. It's absolutely ideal for surfers, being just a 4-minute walk to the best spot, which is the perfect distance to warm up before hitting the waves. What makes this spot great is that the surfing is excellent, and it's a wonderful place to enjoy and share the ocean experience with surfers of all levels, from beginners to pros. My 8-day stay at Surfbreak Cabarete was a truly awesome experience and offered the perfect balance for a relaxing and surfing week. The staff were incredibly polite and welcoming; they genuinely make you feel like a close friend rather than just a guest. My room was comfortable and had everything I needed. The swimming pools were fantastic for relaxing after spending time in the ocean. The spa was a highlight too! It was my first time getting massages, and I really recommend them. Breakfast was simple but provided the perfect combination for good recovery after surfing. Only missing the surfer´s favorite food: “La GranOla” (LOL)... just joking. Overall, I highly recommend Surfbreak Cabarete if you're looking for a place to surf, relax, make new friends, and enjoy excellent value for money!

The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and super cozy, with a cool vibe that blends perfectly with the tropical surroundings - making it unlike any other spot in the area. The included breakfast is fantastic. The beach is absolutely stunning and just a short walk away - perfect for surfing or relaxing by the sea. While we really got into surfing and kiting, the area offers so much more - yoga, SUP, hiking, diving, and tons of other fun activities you can book right on-site. Big shoutout to Wave Soul Retreats for awesome surf lessons, and to getting a massage right at Surfbreak! The staff and owners are incredibly warm, thoughtful, and always available to help, even before you arrive. Their awesome local tips and the welcoming, familiar vibe added such a personal touch that made our days truly unforgettable! We loved it so much we ended up extending our stay and we’re absolutely coming back!

If you are seeking an enchanting place to stay while exploring Playa Encuentro I urge you to stay at Surfbreak. Lovely host and guest services. Staff was always helpful. I am so thankful they helped with local tours and transportation. Close to downtown Cabarete but a number of places nearby to eat as well. If surf and sun are on your list stay here. Highly recommend.

Incredible peaceful place in the middle of Encuentro, walking distance to the main surf break. Beautiful gardens and great accommodations. The staff always super friendly and helpful. Breakfast included and never disappointed! We will be going back.

Third time staying here and am very much looking forward to repeating. Encuentro is the best place to stay in Cabarete, and Surfbreak is lovely. Lush landscaping and beautiful decor, the breakfasts are nutritious and delicious, the kitchen is well equipped and very user friendly. Service is top notch, highly recommend the surf lessons powered by Wavesoul. Stayed with my 2 daughters and my niece (12,13 and 14 years old) and despite the fact that most guests are much older, it felt comfortable and safe for them.

We had a really great time at Surfbreak B&B. Very nice and helpfull staff! A really nice hostel, with beautiful outdoor areas and a friendly atmosphere! The location is perfect for surfing and beautiful beaches. We would definitely stay here again!
