Hotel Arirang Busan

I would like to rate this hotel a -1. I had never stayed in a hotel with such thin pillows. Upon requesting for extra pillows, I was informed that they had ran out of extra pillows. I can’t believe my ears. Front desk (Ms C Kim) has no smile at all, in fact she is very hostile. Other than these 2 human-caused problems , location and room is pretty good. Verdict: there are plenty of other hotels to stay in Busan,

Hotel is conveniently located next to Busan train station so little effort required getting to the hotel (no shelter from train station). Multiple taxi stands and bus stops make this a good spot to explore Busan. Hotel itself is frills free. Rooms are small and relatively clean. Only amenities in- room is hand soap, towels, shower facilities. Tight fit so quite difficult to open luggage and pack. Toothbrush can be bought from the convenience store or from hotel lobby. Popular hotel so can be abit of a wait for lifts in the morning and during check out. Dont expect a luxury stay but a quick in and out type of hotel. Many food options around the hotel so not to worry about meals.

Excellent value for money. Cleanliness and location absolutely ideal. The rooms and bathroom were perfect. I recommend this place highly to anyone - I can’t get over the value for money for was unreal. We only stayed one night so didn’t use the pool.

The hotel is very conveniently located just at Busan station. If you are a tourist you will probably come by KTX and would be very convenient. The city bus tour starts just in front of the Hotel and metro and Bus station are just nearby so location wise a Big Big thumbs up. The rooms are decently sized, most hotel rooms would be small but there was space to open my suitcases and I am happy for that as the other hotel I stayed at Seoul (Ibis Gangnam), had no space at all. Breakfast spread was good. You get coupons for it if its included in your package. There is a Forex machine in the Lobby for money exchange. Many restaurants nearby. Loved the Carbonaro at a nearby Italian restaurant. Overall Recommended

I stayed here for three nights as part of a longer trip through the region. The funny thing is, even though I rated this five stars, I probably wouldn’t stay here again for leisure travel. Why? When I’m not familiar with an area, I’ll usually just pick something “centrally located” and call it a day. Train stations are usually centrally located and get the job done for a first time visit. Busan station, IMHO just isn’t that convenient to most tourist sites. So, why the five stars? 1. Rate was cheap… cheapest place I’ve stayed for the entire trip 2. Steps away from Busan station subway and Busan station KTX. Walking distance to the ferry terminal if you’re heading to Japan 3. Room was small (good enough for one person) but solid for the price 4. Coin laundry on site (I travel for long stretches of time, and getting laundry done is always part of the deal. On site laundry is always a plus) 5. Air con works pretty well. Although… it took a few hours to get down to temp. I think it was like 28c when i walked in, and I like it at 21c. Downsides 1. Small room. The cheapest rate will get you a room that is tight for more than one person. 2. Busan station area is dead at night. There’s a convenience store and food inside the station itself, but if you’re looking for a drink, your options are limited. 3. It’s a haul to get to the good places on the subway. The reality is, I looked at staying near Haeundae beach, but the three day forecast called for a bunch of rain. I didn’t see the need to pay the premium to stay near the beach if it was going to rain most of the time, so I kept the cheap room. I still give the five stars because for what you pay, there really isn’t much to complain about.

This hotel is really great. Service is good. Reception is nice. The room is clean. Price is cheap. Most importantly, this hotel is located opposite the train station which can access to and fro to Seoul. The metro is also there. Can easily go anywhere in Busan. The bus and cruise centre is also there.
