Friends Hostel & Apartments

When we arrived there on 19/12 (check-in day), we were faced with a completely different reality from the photos shown on the booking. The building looks abandoned, in super bad condition and very dodgy, with no security whatsoever. On entering, there was nothing like the photos, and our biggest surprise was when we saw the bathrooms, both the one where you were supposed to shower and the one that only had a toilet. As well as looking like something improvised, it was in extremely poor condition and had a nauseating smell. The shower was in a laundry room, and there was no photo of this in the booking. That said, the next day we decided to leave the place, leaving the key in the correct place and thinking that payment had already been made on the day of booking, via booking. However, the hostess was extremely rude and impolite, implying that we wanted to leave without paying and even accusing us of doing so. Then, she deleted the message and proceeded to cancel our stay saying that we never showed up, ignoring the rest of the messages, and even leaving a rather rude and sarcastic note on the booking, showing an extreme lack of character.

Loved staying at this hostel! It was clean, my dorm was quiet and it’s very central too. Budapest has so much going on that I got lost in it for 4 days, so the hostel made a great base for my stay. I also met some nice people in the city too, so I would fully recommend for anyone to stay at Friends - especially as a solo traveler, as you’ll meet plenty of people.

Abbiamo preso un appartamento andandoci solo in due persone. Appartamento al centro, accogliente e sistemato. Le pecche più grandi riguardano i servizi, personale inesistente, stoviglie sporchissime, e letti scomodi.

Met 2 vriendinnen hebben wij 5 dagen verbleven in een appartement van het Hostel. Er was niemand om in te checken, maar er hingen sleutelkastjes en konden zonder problemen de kamer in. Het appartement was ruim, schoon en zag er nieuw uit. Er kunnen 6 personen hier slapen, maar dan wordt het wel klein. De volgende dag langs de receptie geweest, zij hebben ons instructies gegeven, moesten wel zelf het een en ander vragen waren uit zichzelf niet heel behulpzaam, wel ok. De kamer wordt tussentijds niet schoongemaakt, handdoeken kan je bij de receptie omwisselen. Er is geen kluis in het appartement. Het appartement ligt super goed gelegen in het centrum, Metro & Tram halte voor de deur. Genoeg restaurantjes en supermarkt op loopafstand. Zou het zeker aanbevelen.

Avevamo un appartamento privato con bagno privato, ed era stupendo. Pulitissimo caldo e accogliente, arredi super moderni e in una posizione a dir poco ottima con tutti i servizi a portata di mano. Assolutamente consigliato in tutto e per tutto.
