If I could rate this 0 stars, I would. We booked an apartment for 2 nights to attend an event nearby. The images on the website looked nothing like the apartment we were greeted with. The website promised a 'loft', updated decor etc. The apartment was unlocked and open when we arrived for 4pm check in, meaning anyone could have entered the apartment. The apartment was filthy - rust on appliances/radiators, mold on the walls in the bedroom and bathroom, stained bedding/mattresses/pillows in the bedroom and 'stored' in a ripped open black bag in a random room, strange stains on curtains, handles falling off the bathroom and bedroom doors, broken shower, a horrible sewerage smell coming from the sinks and filthy dishes, with there likely being more I have forgotten. It is not allowing me to add images for some reason. The worst discovery, however, was several bedbugs in one of the rooms on the headboard of the bed, and dozens of visible bedbug eggs on the border of the headboard. There were also bugs on the pull-out couch/sofa bed. We attempted to contact the property multiple times both via phone and email, both during our stay and before we arrived at the apartment, and despite saying they were available to contact '24/7', we were unable to speak with anyone whatsoever with SmartFlats. Eventually we resorted to contacting ***********, who we had booked through, and they were also unable to get in touch with anyone from the property. . The only benefit was that the location was central, approx 10 minutes from Central Station.
