Courtyard Brunswick

My Grandchildren and I checked in to the Marriott courtyard, hotel in Brunswick, Georgia. After checking in, I was given a room key in a room assignment after we got to the room we unpacked and got organized. My grandson noticed that the outlets were not working in the room nor did we have any lamps that were working at the time I called the front desk and they advised me they would call maintenance a few minutes passed and I got a return phone call from the front desk. They advised me that maintenance was aware of the problem and asked if we wanted to change rooms. I explain to them that I’ve already unpacked and I really don’t want to go through the trouble of having to move the next morning, I want to check out and advise the clerk at the desk about the issues with the room. I was told that the manager was aware of it, and that they were going to return my money for the room, but they stated that due to me paying a third-party, they would have to get with them to release the money. The next day I took my grandchildren to summer waves and the entire day I was having to go to my car to get some water to charge on my phone in case my husband needed to get in touch with me. This created a lot of problems for me the next day due to my phone not being adequately charged. My question is if they knew there was an issue with the rain. Why did they put me in it at this point I have not received a refund or been contacted by the hotel.

We just checked out of this hotel. Our dreary room with grey walls was poorly lit and the floors were filthy (See attached photo). There was no lamp beside our bed. I’m not sure if that’s typical or if ours was missing. There also were no electric outlets by either bed and zero USB outlets in the room. Our bathroom floor was very sticky and also dusty from an apparent repair that maintenance didn’t clean up after. I attempted to call the front desk but it just rang and rang. We were tired so I just cleaned the floor myself and went to bed. In the morning my husband attempted to get filtered water from the machine in the gym but it was broken. Even at a discounted rate we paid way too much for a dirty room at a hotel that doesn’t even offer free breakfast.

There was no hot water available for the shower and could not reach the front desk when trying to call by phone. Otherwise we were satisfied with the hotel. The bistro has happy hour in the evening. We had to change rooms because the first was not cleaned and the phone didn’t work at all

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The hotel is located near the interstate but the noise was not nearly as bad as I was expecting. I would stay here again. The hotel is a short drive to restaurants, shopping, and St. Simons Island. I would recommend visiting this hotel.

We booked a hotel room throw Marriott Bonvoy app at 9:30 pm, but when we came in 2 hours the lady at reception told that the hotel is fully booked and nobody called us during these 2 hours. And she is trying to solve it by speaking with somebody by phone but if the hotel is fully booked. After this strange phone call, She explained that somebody booked onsite and the app can’t recognize it and also they have one room with broken lock. It’s very very strange. And very very upset to come at 12:00 am and found that hotel is booked and we need to find new hotel. And NOBODY CALLED US DURING 2 HOURS. Also she told that she’ll do cancelation and it will not charge fee for it but in meantime she can’t print this cancelation.. It’ll come on email… let’s see what will happen.

Very nice Courtyard Hotel, Very impressed. Very clean, above Marriott Standards. Excellent room very nice and cool looking. They have a nice pool and a good breakfast (not free tho). Im very impressed with this hotel and will return when I come back to Brunswick.
