The Fish Hotel

We went to the fish hotel for my birthday celebration and what an incredible experience it was! The staff were very welcoming and attentive, they looked after us very well. We stayed in a hideaway cabin and we were blown away with the size, design and luxurious feel. The little extras really made this experience so special and we will most definitely be revisiting in the future.

absolutely amazing place we had an overnight stay at this beautiful location. Dinner in hook was amazing, the service, food , setting all 10/10 can i mention Rebaca that looked after us, she’s a real asset to the place. Her attentiveness and attention to detail was great and she made our evening!!! The rooms are lovely, beds so comfortable and literally can’t rate this place enough we will hopefully be back

We had a fabulous time at The Fish Hotel on the Farncombe Estate near Broadway. The location provides for a very relaxing stay which includes a wide range of walks from the Estate. The accommodation was to its usual high standard and the evening meal at the Hook was delightful. The service provided by all the staff was excellent nothing was too much trouble. We have stayed here on a regular basis in the past and will be back in the near future.

So we sent 2 nights in hilly hut 2 & absolutely loved it.The hotel & all the staff are a five star experience -thankyou for making it a fantastic experience Room - excellent The Hook 1st class Staff -1st class. Over all. 10 out of 10 As a side note the walk from the hotel to broadway through the field is very tricky & the little stone paving over the brook is slightly dangerous with all the mud you may want to scatter hardcore if you can.

Just had an awful experience at the fish hotel,upon entry we were greeted and we asked if we could go for a drink in the bar “Natalie”then said no as we are fully booked. We said no problem and we started making our way to the entrance and we decided to sit down and order a taxi. She then asked us to order a taxi twice in which we were already doing.we failed to do so,so we asked if she can provide us with a taxi number. We then asked if we could wait here as it was 1 degrees outside. She then said no can you wait outside. In my experience I have never been hustled or treated like we wasn’t good enough to even wait for a taxi while being dressed for the occasion.

I am writing this as I travel back from a lovely overnight stay for my husband's birthday. From the moment I booked, i had high hopes. The communication from the pre check-in was great and friendly. I mentioned it was my husband's birthday on the online form, at check he was greeted with a friendly 'happy birthday' and this was repeated for our restaurant reservation later that evening, alongside a little birthday plate and fudge. The hotel is warm, welcoming, and relaxed. Very thoughtfully designed. We had the Maudslay suite and it was so wonderful to walk in to the radio on, lamps on, and a handwritten note,hugely welcoming. As mentioned upon check out i think only one tiny thing missing was one more lamp to light the seating area, especially during the winter months. This didn't detract from the overall fabulousness of the room.. Food in the lounge was great, bloody Mary ketchup was a touch too peppery, bordering on inedible even for my husband who takes his bloody Mary's very spicy! Food in hook was superb! We had delicious monkfish and halibut. Breakfast was fresh, quality produce and great service The service in the lounge bar i had prepared myself for but i ordered a carafe of wine and one beer. Nothing that is particularly tricky or time consuming, after 10 minutes I could see three members of staff behind the bar all fiddling with the computer, no sign of drinks. Bar man steps away from the screen, wipes the bar, wipes a glass. My husband can see the beer tap there, within reach, not being poured. Then some action, 24 minutes later, our drinks arrived. The bar wasn't busy I hasten to add. I'm not known for my patience but that was too long to wait and was a bit annoying! We commented we were lucky we had a wine card to help ourselves for our pre dinner drink as wouldn't have held out hope for getting one before dessert! That aside, I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. Friendly staff, comfortable, relaxing, great food. What more could you want! Thank you.
