I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at Orchard Gate Apartments in Bristol, and I feel compelled to share my concerns to warn others against choosing this accommodation. From the outset, the staff exhibited an unprofessional and threatening demeanor. Not only did they attempt to charge additional fees without my consent through my bank, but they also showed complete disregard for a personal emergency. My partner fell seriously ill and had to be admitted to the hospital on the first night of our reservation. When I tried to communicate this unforeseen circumstance to the staff, their response was callous and unhelpful. They dismissed our situation, stating that we should have checked Booking.com's policy. The lack of empathy and understanding in such a distressing moment was appalling. Adding to the list of grievances, the staff's negligence resulted in the misplacement of keys, and to my astonishment, they threatened me with debt collection as a consequence. This type of behavior is not only unprofessional but also unacceptable in any hospitality setting. In light of my experience, I strongly advise anyone considering Orchard Gate Apartments to look elsewhere for accommodation. The threatening attitude of the staff, the lack of compassion during a medical emergency, and the careless handling of keys make this establishment one to avoid at all costs. There are plenty of other options in Bristol that prioritize guest well-being and customer service over profiteering. Please be cautious and considerate of your well-being when making accommodation choices, and I sincerely hope that Orchard Gate Apartments addresses these serious issues for the sake of future guests.
