I was on a solo trip to southeast Michigan over a weekend in November 2023 to spend time with a couple friends. I wanted to stay in Brighton, so I decided to stay at this Hampton Inn for the Friday and Saturday night of my visit. Overall, I was very impressed. This Hampton, in my opinion, exemplifies what Hampton Inns are supposed to be like. The young lady who checked me in on Friday night was very friendly and helpful. My room (#330) was clean and comfortable. I appreciated the amenities at the hotel... the business center computer, the indoor pool (including the hot tub), and breakfast. The hotel was very comfortable overall. The only constructive criticism I can provide has to do with the housekeeping. On Friday night after I checked in, I asked about housekeeping during my stayover day. The clerk at the desk told me what was entailed. When I had my housekeeping service, I noticed that everything had been done except that the bed was not made. I followed the clerk's instructions and didn't leave anything on the bed but was surprised when I returned to my room that second night to see that the bed hadn't been made. Not a huge deal, but it was just different than I was told. (The clerk told me that she was fairly new, so maybe she was under the incorrect assumption that housekeeping includes making the bed when perhaps it does not.) Despite this tiny little issue with the bed, I loved my stay and would gladly stay here again. Excellent hotel with great staff and a warm, welcoming presence.
