Lovely hotel with helpful friendky staff Had a great room with a comfy bed, had a small fridge, good shower also had a had little balcony with table & 2 chairs . Decent buffet breakfast. Good location only 4 minute walk from station but quiet. Easy walk into town centre

A lovely cosy hotel, we were given a very warm and friendlywelcome. We had a beautiful well appointed room , a view of the mountains and an extremely comfortable bed. The breakfast was delicious and served in a delightful dining room. Brig is a charming historic town with excellent restaurants and an exciting feeling of transition as it has been a stopover for people preparing to cross the Alps for centuries....and still is today.

Always a great experience. Clean rooms with good amenities and a nice breakfast in the morning. Have seen various tour groups staying over my last several visits as well which indicates they are getting more well known. Although I did not eat here this time, the restaurant is excellent.

We stayed at the Ambassador as part of the (fantastic) Great Rail Journeys Classic Glacier Express tour. We received a very warm welcome and our 3-day stay was amazing. We had breakfast every day and two evening meals that were arranged by GRJ, and we ate in the restaurant off their normal menu on the remaining night. The food choices, food quality and service were second-to-none. Thanks to everyone there for making it such a great stay. What we didn't tell you is that this trip was part of the celebrations of our 50th wedding anniversary, and you certainly made us feel very special! Thanks so much.

We booked the Attika suite and a basic room for our party. The basic room was comfortable enough although the bathroom and shower space was a bit on the small size. The suite was much more spacious and easily accommodated three members of the party including a wheelchair user. The bathroom in the suite has helpful adaptions for people of limited mobility, the only downside being that wheelchair access is via the rear of the hotel and basement. Both rooms were supplied with a coffee machine and a few pods. Breakfast provided a limited but adequate range of items including cereals, meats, cheese, fruit, yoghurt, etc. to get the day off to a good start. The in house restaurant provided a delicious evening meal in a relaxed environment - although not the cheapest option for dining in the town it was definitely worth the price in our opinion. The location is just a couple of minutes walk from either the town centre or the train station with easy connections to places such as Visp and Zermatt making this an ideal base for exploring the area. The best aspect of the hotel has to be the warm welcome that we received from every member of staff we encountered - something that I've found to be hit and miss in other locations.

Last week we visited Brig, Switzerland with a tour group. The Ambassador Hotel manager, Stephen and staff, in Brig, Switzerland went out of their way and gave us personal service above and beyond all expectations. We are woodworking specialists and use Pfiel wood carving tools made in Switzerland. Stephen escorted us to local woodworking experts who advised us to visit Pfiel tools in Langenthal, Switzerland to purchase the world-renowned Pfiel wood working carving tools. We would never have found the tool factory store without the personal help and directions we received from the Hotel Ambassador staff. We are forever grateful for the wonderful stay we had in Brig and the personal help that Stephen and the hotel staff gave us during our stay at their beautiful hotel. signed, Super happy woodworking travelers!

A lovely hotel, not too far from the railway station in Brig. We had a comfortable room on the 4th floor. Some rooms on the lower floors have a balcony. The art deco style decor in the dining room is delightful. It’s common for hotels to provide complementary bottles of water in the bedrooms. But if you stay for more than one night and use the bottled water it is far less common for the water to be replaced. So top marks to Hotel Ambassador for that. We stayed for 4 nights on a group trip run by Great Rail Journeys. For dinner we were given very limited choice. The food was a little uninspired, but I suspect this is partly down to the budget for meals set by GRJ, so I’ll say no more.

Beautiful hotel located close to the train station. The room was very large and well laid out. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful with guiding us where to go around the town. Brig a beautiful place and the views from the hotel room were amazing. We only stayed for 1 night but would definitely go back!

They don't understand lactose intolerance, deeming some disgusting flavourless pasta with ???? (something vaguely green, something possibly white) and possibly green pesto as a suitable alternative to a meal that simply needed to be without the creamy sauce which was added post cooking of everything. Every starter was salad, dessert was either fruits (mainly apple) or a real treat, sorbet one evening. Bearing in mind I paid a single supplement, the room was certainly not on a par with the double rooms, lacking both space and amenities. Woe betide if you're of a larger size as the bathroom and it's door were tiny. No dress or longer coat hanging space in the wardrobe as the fridge is in the space. Only one usable shelf in the wardrobe as the safe occupies one so in effect, little storage space which is fine if you're only an overnight stay but I was there for 4 nights. Wouldn't stay there again!
