My wife and I stay at the Grandhotel Giessbach for 3 nights in September 2024, and the staff for the most part is very friendly, however there's was this one receptionist at front desk in lobby that was very unapproachable. The first day I’m thinking ok maybe she’s having a bad day, however the second day we asked her a question, and she was just as rude. She do not belong in the hospitality industry. We are from the USA and don’t speak French, but she spoke English fluently. She made my Wife and I feel as though we didn’t belong there. Again, this is very unacceptable to have paid the amount of money that was charged. I get it, everyone is not approachable, but for someone to be in the hospitality industry, they are representing the first face of your business success and that is a part of their job obligation. This person was the hotel receptionist. All the other staff members throughout the hotel was very courteous.
