Eype's Mouth Country Hotel

It was either our fourth or fifth time here. It is a beautiful spot and a charming place to stay. We were staying here on the first day the new owner took over some time ago, and Syed's vision was breathtaking to people like us, having worked in this trade. That vision is coming to fruition, nowhere more so than in room twenty-three. A cathartic, crushed raspberry hue dominated the senses, a fundamental change from the standard ubiquitous white. The hot tub was a gentle surprise, and did we wallow in that for far too long? Very therapeutic. Divine! On Wednesday, we bought exotic cheeses and champagne from the wonderfully quirky town of Bridport to feel and 'respect the room' in the evening instead of going to the lovely bar. We stole that phrase from a chat show appearance from the Holywood actor Jamie Foxx. Indeed, we sat with that view and hue, glowed, and verily respected the room! Possibly the gentlest staff one will ever come across (which includes everyone); thank you, Abi, who treated us like royalty and brought ice-cold wine in a bucket when we ran out of fizz. Old England is dying, we are told? Everything has changed, they say. Yes, maybe, but not here. This is how it used to be... and still is!

Stayed in a lovely ground floor room with fabulous views. The room (23) has a veranda and hot tub. Room was well-equipped with good coffee and tea making facilities. Breakfast was excellent and included in the rate. Dinner was great value and of a high quality. The hotel staff are friendly and welcoming. It's a lovely place to stay and ideal as a base to explore the gorgeous surrounding areas.

We had a sea view from our comfortable room. I particularly liked the beautiful thick velvet curtains. The breakfast was lovely and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel was also close to the sea and costal path and we walked to West Bay in the sunshine.

We had booked a short break to meet friends that we had not seen for several years. The Hotel was set in a glorious setting with a great Sea View. The staff could not have been more obliging and everything seemed to be no trouble to help us. It was a really peaceful relaxing stay, just what we were looking for. The food and service was 1st class and we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you

This is my third visit in a year and there are always little thoughtful improvements every time. Really like the fresh water bottles in the bedrooms every day, the small cake on arrival and now the fresh fruit downstairs for anyone to help themselves. The food is lovely, well done to the chef and perfect poached eggs every morning.

This was a 3 night break that included dinner, bed & breakfast and was very good value for money. Without exception the staff were very considerate and obliging, with nothing being too much trouble. Being of limited mobility they readily took our bags to/from our room. The meals, which we took in the restaurant, were of a high standard with the fish chowder being a highlight, not having had one for some years. With limited opportunity to take breaks/holidays this was a very welcome and satisfying recuperation period for us, particualarly as we had previously had to cancel an eqarlier stay here.
