Oxbridge Farm

I spent 3 nights at Oxbridge Farm over the Bank Holiday weekend. Carolyn made me feel very welcome and very kindly carried my case to my room which was huge with spectacular country views from the window. The bed was so comfortable! Breakfast was home cooked by Carolyn - we discovered we had lots in common and I will miss our horsey chats! There are loads of fabulous walks within a short drive, including up two of Dorset's highest hills - Lewesdon Hill and Pilsdon Pen Iron Age Hillfort. The views are spectacular. Nearby Bridport and Beaminster offer a diverse mix of things to see and do from history and heritage to wildlife and nature, not to mention the beautiful Jurassic coast. I would definitely recommend and thank you Carolyn for such a lovely stay.

Where to start, Carolyn was the most wonderful host, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was delicious, the bed was so comfortable we have decided we now need a new mattress having slept like a baby for the last 2 nights. En suite shower is spacious and spotlessly clean, as is the entire B&B. Wonderful views. Hats off to Carolyn to making it a great stay even though she was busy lambing at the same time! We will 1000% be back!

We have just had a two night stay at Carolyn’s lovely farmhouse B&B. It is difficult to find anything to add to the eulogies from previous guests, especially HappyDays056, whom I am sure we met at Oxbridge Farm. Carolyn is a great hostess and the guests are invited to share her home. Our bedroom and bed were large, airy and comfortable with bucolic views from the double aspect windows. Fresh milk and water were supplied daily. Breakfasts were varied and delicious. We felt that the more sociable amongst us would be very happy here and we really enjoyed talking to Carolyn and our fellow guests. The house is in a quiet spot a short distance along a typically narrow Dorset lane, the negotiation of which added a frisson of excitement for us townies. The house is within 5 minutes drive of a good local pub and a short distance from Bridport, where we can recommend dining at The Olive Tree restaurant. We cut our stay short by a night because my wife was fed up with the colder weather and regretted having to say goodbye to Carolyn.

We recently stayed with Carolyn @ Oxbridge Farm in Dorset, Monday through Friday in May 2022, four nights of complete bliss. Reviews generally run the gamut of stuff like "this was a brilliant place" to "what a great breakfast" and "the host was amazing" - usually just one of those things rises out of reviews. Hand on heart we can say all THREE were true!! Plus beautiful fresh white fluffy towels. Daily change of room/checking everything. Stupendous cake on arrival. Woolly lambkins bleating from the field. Dawn chorus. We will return again and again to Oxbridge Farm because the joy is in the host and the host is in the joy. Oh god I forgot to mention THE BREAKFAST truly is sensational !!!!!!!!!!
