A great place to stay in Brattleboro. I'm really happy to have found and stayed here, this house has great common areas to relax in, great rooms, and more importantly great staff. Paul took care of me from Check-in to Check-out. Breakfast was very good and would recommend. I stayed in the carriage house and it was an easy comfortable stay with great amenities. I liked that the house was only just slightly outside of 'downtown' and definitely a short and easy walk. Was great to have the fireplace and wish I would have stayed longer. Would stay again and would recommend, Stephen

Such a cozy and comfortable stay. The Inn was decorated for the holidays and very welcoming. I was able to walk to my auntie's house each day. The breakfasts that Paul created were delicious! And I enjoyed the gas fireplace in my room! Thank you. I'll be back!

What a lovely and welcoming spot for a relaxing getaway to Brattleboro and region! I loved the comfort and aesthetics of my room (#6) and all of its hummingbirds! The bed was comfortable, the amenities perfect, the towels, pillows, and toiletries so nice! The access was easy and convenient. The innkeepers were very friendly, but not overly attentive, and the BREAKFASTS were delicious and held me through early afternoon. Fully enjoyable!

Don't we all wish we had more time? Fran and I were on a four-state road trip to see family and friends and had the good fortune to pick Brattleboro's Inn on Putney Road as one of our overnight stays. The Inn is a nearly century-old French-style mansion initially built for the head of the Brattleboro Retreat. Each of the six rooms has its bathroom and is well-appointed and comfortable for sleeping and sitting. The large room on the first floor is a must-do for reading, playing board games, playing pool, or sitting and watching the fire. Breakfast is amazing and comparable to the best of restaurant fare. Alas, family in Albany were waiting for us. We wish we had more time. Upon leaving the Inn, we stopped at the Brattleboro Retreat hiking area. It is open to the public and has beautiful trails of varying difficulty. Finally, while hiking at the Retreat, I realized I had left my water bottle at the Inn. By coincidence, at that moment, Paul, the inn's owner, called to mention my water bottle. When he learned I was hiking, he said not to worry, as he was on his way into town and would leave the bottle by my car. Not only is Paul a master chef, he is a genuinely nice person. We do this multistate tour a couple of times a year. Next time, we'll spend more time at the Inn!

We were warmly welcomed upon our arrival and escorted to our room by Paul. The rom was lovely, bed was comfortable, amenities abundant and pillows were perfect. Our breakfast was fantastic and Paul clearly was experienced in the kitchen and was very proud of his cooking. Highly recommended!

Exceptional Bed and Breakfast! Spectacular decor, attentive staff, extraordinary breakfast! Perfect getaway - relax by the fire, play pool or games, wander around the beautiful grounds. Short distance to town center for antiquing, restaurants, shops or to take in a movie. The Inn on Putney Road far exceeded our expectations! It is only a matter of time before we return!

Beautiful inn and stunning grounds with connected trails to explore to your heart's desire. The hospitality was perfect to include complimentary Vermont snacks in our room. Breakfast the next morning surpassed our expectations. Everything was so fresh. The proximity to downtown Brattleboro is an added plus.

We had a wonderful time. We were very well taken care of. We stayed for 10 days in this beautiful Inn. Paul made the most delicious breakfasts. It was something new everyday. No duplicates. He accommodated our dietary needs. Our room was very comfy. The only con was there wasn’t much of a Mountain View. But we didn’t really care because we were gone all day exploring. We recommend exploring around Brattleboro because there is a lot to see. The restaurants came highly recommended. We loved Plated, the Marina and the country club the best. Theres plenty of hiking trails right behind the Inn. And the retreat trails were great as well. We did apple picking at Scott’s farm, learned how to get maple from the tree at Robb’s Farm. Went to the farmers market. Paul has all the best recommendations. We would 100% recommend this Inn.

This Alabama group cannot say enough about the hospitality from Paul. We were greeted with a smile and warm delightful smells welcomed us as well! The special touches in each room from the sitting rooms to the refreshment bar to the bathroom were just amazing. The bed was so comfy! Then there was breakfast, WHAT an amazing breakfast! Wow!! Do not skip this INN, we wish we had time for a longer stay!!
