Travelodge Braintree

One of the best Travelodge's I have been too. Very easy access to all rooms and very clean. Staff were very good.

Felt safe and assisted room was comfortable. Bathroom could have had micro cloth wiped over as the taps etc were watered marked which gave the shower room a grubby appearance. Would have been helpful to have a bedside table too.

I don’t ordinarily write reviews, good service and standards should be the norm, however I was so impressed with the team at this hotel that I’m making the effort. I stayed for two nights and from the moment I checked in you tell this was going to be different. Mike the hotel manager was behind the front desk who stood up and welcomed with me with a smile and a good afternoon as I approached. I was asked if I’d visited before and when I said no I was treated to a full run down of what the hotel had to offer, reassurance that the desk was staffed all night long if I needed anything. I was told about the availability of breakfasts, evening meals, 24 hour pizza and drinks throughout my stay. I was there to attend a wedding and when I asked how far it was he reassured me it was just round the corner and the best way to get there. I didn’t spend much time at the hotel during my stay as we had events booked but everyone I came and went there was a cheerful face behind the counter. I had breakfast on the final day served by a young blonde lady and again, nothing was too much trouble. The food was appealing, the atmosphere relaxing and the restaurant was clean and well presented. I only live a short distance away so unlikely to need to stay again any time soon but if the need arises I will definitely look to stay again and can wholeheartedly recommend Braintree travelodge and its team to anyone looking to stay in Braintree.

The bar was expensive compared to a Travelodge only 9 miles away, the room had been cleaned but in the corners and behind doors was still quite grubby, overall it was just about OK for the price but with a bit of effort could be a lot better.

I've stayed in 3 hotels in the local area. I couldn't be more happy with the staff and the help from the manager. I would get help moving my stuff to my room as I'm disabled, clean towels, bed changing when asked. The breakfast would be brought to my room as I wasn't able to walk well. They really understood the pain I was in and made me feel really comfortable. I've been to other hotels and unfortunately speaking to the front desk, isn't great. I never had a bad experience staying here. The only small downfall might be that the baths are small, but for a short stay, that doesn't matter. If I ever needed to go to a hotel in the area, il always recommend this one. Thank you
