Woolley Grange - A Luxury Family Hotel

We've just returned from a lovely 4 night stay in this beautiful hotel.Yes other reviewers have put it needs some TLC which I suppose it does,but it adds to the charm of this old country house.The staff are so lovely and very helpful nothing is too much trouble.The grounds are nice to walk round.Theres an outdoor pool and a lovely walled garden.Play areas for the children,ducks and chickens.There's a few lounges to sit and relax,books and board games available.There is a few dining areas including an orangery for breakfast and evening meal.We didn't have an evening meal during our stay as we had eaten out elsewhere on our day out or had booked a restaurant in the nearby village.The rooms are small but cosy,we had a standard room.It had all u needed.The bathroom was huge.All toiletteries provided,bathrobes and slippers.We didn't use the pools as we weren't really in during the day but it seemed very busy with children.There isn't a bar but they do have a drinks book so you can order from that which we did and sat outside and they have waiter service.Prices are high though.We loved this hotel so much and didn't want to leave.Colin and Lisa were always chatty and friendly.If were ever in the area again we would definitely return for another stay.

Never stayed in a Manor House for Christmas and kept an open mind about what to expect. It was a great experience for us. The staff are incredibly hard working and helpful. Our room in the East Gable was very clean and spacious but was a bonus to have all the downstairs living rooms available too with a cinema and plenty of dvds to entertain with a dvd player in our room. The swimming pool, sauna and steam room was impeccable. The food was to a very high standard and beautifully presented. Overall I can’t fault the place!

What la lovely Hotel with Lovely staff, Stayed for 2 nights with my wife, a present for our 60th Birthdays, and thoroughly enjoyed it .. Historic buildings with a state of the art spa/ pool complex was just what we needed, food including evening meal and breakfast was exceptional and all the staff went out of their way to provide great service...special mention to front desk Lisa and Emma who made our stay extra special... Would definitely recommend it for couples and Familys....Thank you all at WG...
