Booked in for two nights could not sleep because of nesting birds all night long one lift broken.breakfast was not the hottest

Great location, friendly/helpful staff. Fine views from the bar and restaurant. Parking is expensive at £20 per night. Room was clean and decent, but overall it’s a little bit tired, with Wetherspoons-like carpet, worn paintwork, creaky doors etc. It could certainly do with a spruce up. Spa was very good.

Check in easy and smooth. Near lake Windermere. Room is clean.

The Macdonald Old England Hotel is well situated, being just a stones throw from the lakeside and the shops in Bowness. The staff are friendly and obliging and the service matches their attitude. The breakfasts are fine, although the staff can sometimes be a bit slow in replenishing the tureens. We did not use the Spa, so we cannot comment on that. Overall, we found the hotel to have all the facilities that we were lookling for and we would be happy to stay there again.

Excellent visit room food and experience was 10 out of 10 from start to finish

Everything was perfect except the gym… the gym is dated and all the equipment is falling apart

Great experience at one of the best hotels in the lake districts. Stylish hotel with magnificent views overseeing Windermere. Will definitely revisit again in future.

已經辦理入住，睡覺時，竟然聽到了下雨聲，沒想真的是房間漏水，連帶對着床的屋頂也漏水。你們雖然給我們換了更大的房間，裏面有一大兩單床，但單人床是加的床，並不舒服，我們穿着睡衣，拎着鞋子，還有一些生日品七零八落的一頓收拾，最後還是把女兒的耳機落在之前的房間裏了，後來不得不起床再去原房間找耳機，因為房卡在原房間，我們還得下到大堂去找人開門，總之糟糕透了。更可笑的是房間裏衹有2很小瓶的水提供，要他們再送，他們説要收費。平生第一次遇到。換到所謂大的房間，沒有暖氣，我睡的小床床墊也不舒服，害的我們以一晚沒睡好，第二天都全身疼痛，閨女情況更嚴重，感冒了，我還勉強撐着到下一個景點。英國濕冷的很，你想想一個空盪盪的房間加上沒有暖氣，早上手腳冰涼的，這體驗真是糟糕透了。必須給他們差評。

家庭豪華房給的是閣樓房，也是絕了。和前台交涉的時候，前台告知家庭豪華房型都是這種，就是用天窗的。要求換房，被告知全滿了 沒房間。前一分鐘還有其他外國客人進來詢問房間和價格，可能價格緣故沒辦入住。到我這就是衹有這個房間，就是閣樓天窗的房間，愛住不住，自己找代理商。由於時差，當時中國凌晨，也無法聯繫上攜程工作人員。第二天攜程聯繫酒店，攜程客服開始問他們也是一口咬定家庭豪華房就是閣樓房，客服再三確認最後承認家庭豪華房有幾種房型，因為我們到的晚所以給的閣樓房，沒其他房間了。對中國客人態度一目瞭然了，強烈建議中國人遠離該酒店，相信酒店所有差房型都是留給中國人的。

酒店位置是很好的，就在温德米爾湖碼頭旁邊，風景更好窗外就是湖景，餐飲店商場都很多，就是酒店太老了，服務非常一般
