Andrew and Alison just make you feel totally at home in their beautiful Bowmore house! The genuine friendliness and service oriented mindset is so rare to experience these days. Mmmm…Breakfast with smile and a dram! : ) Higly recommend room Nr1! Slainte!

This location was part of our all expenses Scottish Routes whisky tour. Awesome welcome with a welcoming dram. We had a large bedroom with a coastal view. Bathroom was also large. The tour had a full scottish breakfast every morning and is in walking distance to a number of good restaurants. Perfect place.

LOVE this place. Went for the 4 day Islay tour and couldn't say enough amazing things about this hotel. The view was remarkable, the room was spacious, comfortable and very clean, breakfast was delicious, the mini bar was stocked (even with plenty of affordable scotch!), and hosts were welcoming and funny. Do not hesitate to book here!

Andrew and Alison were the perfect hosts - very welcoming, gave great insights to places to eat in Bowmore, as well as near the distilleries we were visiting. Andrew also double checked our ferry to make sure the port wasn't switched on us! Very large, comfortable room with an amazing view over Bowmore. It's very centrally located on the Island, as well as very walkable to any place in Bowmore. Breakfast both mornings were fantastic- one a full proper Scottish breakfast cooked to perfection (great coffee too!), and the second, Andrew packed us a delicious meal to go for us to go as we had an early morning Ferry to catch. We will be staying here again when we next visit Islay!

We stayed at Bowmore House for 3 nights as part of the Scottish Routes Islay whiskey tour. The room was lovely and very comfortable with incredible views across the loch. The breakfast was really good, very informal, very comfortable. The hosts were lovely, very friendly and more than willing to help with any requests; they even invited us to a breakfast dram in the mornings! A really enjoyable stop, highly recommended

We stayed at Bowmore House as part of an Islay Whisky tour (Scottish Routes). We enjoyed our stay immensely and would not consider staying elsewhere when we get back to Islay. Our accommodations at the Bowmore House were spacious and excellently comfortable. Our hosts, Andrew and Allison, were delightful and ready to assist with everything from whisky recommendations (Andrew blends his own, do not skip it), to emergency shoe repair, to discussions about the history of Islay. The breakfast part of the bed and breakfast matched or exceed the excellence of the bed and amply fueled us for the day's activities.

This is my third stay at Bowmore House, my first being ten years ago. The room was excellent and comfortable, with a superb bathroom and a powerful shower. The cleanliness and order were impeccable. I highly recommend the full Scottish breakfast, which includes tattie scones and haggis. Andrew, the proprietor, provided a complimentary dram to each guest.

Andrew and Alison are amazing!! Breakfast every morning is fantastic, and Andrew is great at helping you plan your day based on the weather, your bookings (book your tours in advance!) and your transportation options. Super quiet and you can walk into town easily! Go stay with them!
