I remember this place when it was busy and good and so was pleased to be able to book here. We had looked on the website prior to our arrival to see if gluten-free was an option and saw several choices. Upon arrival we asked about food only to be told that the kitchen was closed, so breakfast wasn't available either. When we were shown to our room we were left to struggle with our bags as the landlady set off at a cracking pace. We booked a double and were shown into a room which slept six and was like an oven! The window didn't open and the one in the en-suite would only open 2 inches. There was no blind on the window and when we tried to leave the room we couldn't get the door open. When we eventually got out we complained and were moved to a tiny room where there was maybe 6 inches between the end of the bed and the wall. Anyone with mobility issues would struggle as the stairs were uneven, steep and poorly lit. The only good thing I can say is that the people in the town are very friendly and a gentleman who had been in the bar when we enquired about food saw us in the street and gave us a recommendation of The Dolphin for food, which was lovely. I hate writing bad reviews, but felt I had to help others from feeling the same disappointment I did here.
