Coombe House

From the moment David greeted us at the door, we knew Coombe House was going to be a highlight of our week in the UK. After introductions, we were offered tea, coffee or water in the parlor. My sister and I had a lovely decorated room with a private large bathroom (tub and shower) on the first floor and our daughters were in an equally lovely room with a private bathroom on the second floor. David asked us to fill out our breakfast order so he could be prepared for the next morning. The menu options were plentiful. We walked into Bourton-on-the-Water for dinner on a scenic sidewalk that meanders along the water. Breakfast the next two mornings began at 8:30 and David did a fantastic job of preparing and serving the four of us plus four other guests. Our breakfasts were delicious and served at the right temperature. He gave us suggestions for sightseeing in the Cotswolds which we appreciated and enjoyed. There is ample parking off the street and the area is very quiet. If you read this, David, please know that we didn’t want to leave! Thank you for blessing us with your warm hospitality!

What a delightful experience. Dave is a fantastic host very warm and quite the perfectionist. The accommodation was very clean, comfortable and tasteful and the breakfast was delicious.

Stayed at Coombe house for four nights,could have stayed longer,guest house immaculate and extremely welcoming,breakfast was lovely.Overall we had a relaxing and very enjoyable stay.David the host couldn’t do enough for us,was great company and the guest house is in a perfect location for restaurants etc.Will definitely return.

We enjoyed a two night stay in this charming and convenient location. Made perfect by host Dave, who is welcoming, attentive, and engaging. We felt well cared for and savored a yummy breakfast. Additionally, Dave shared valuable insight on hikes and recommendations on restaurants and sights for exploring. We would eagerly return!

This visit to Coombe House was roughly my 9th (I have now lost count!!) I usually visit with my husband, but this time I returned with my daughter, to introduce her to David, the beautiful B&B and of course the stunning village of Bourton on the Water. On every visit, we are already looking forward to the next! David is an absolute star - kind, welcoming & entertaining! The room was, as always, spotlessly clean, and the breakfast an absolute treat. We easily filled our weekend by just staying in the village, which is only a very short walk from the B&B. Our stay will go down as one of our all time favourites - and my daughter has already arranged to go back with her husband! Thank you David for always making our time with you so special. My mum and I had the most amazing stay at Coombe house. I truly cannot fault it. David was the most incredible host, who is welcoming, friendly and truly makes you feel at home. The breakfast is amazing, with so much choice and is made/cooked to perfection. The room was spotless and so was the whole place. The location couldn’t have been better either, with just a short walk to so many places such as Bird Land, the motor museum and multiple pubs. I already can’t wait to come back!
