Harrington House

Great four nights at this hotel. Food very good and plentiful. Our room, albeit small was clean and we loved the fluffy towels in the bathroom! We found the staff to be extremely pleasant, helpful and friendly. Location is great for both walking and visiting the Cotswolds.

I went on this Regency event which was booked as Mrs Bennetts house party, this was supposed to be a wonderful once in a life time experience, but it was RUINED!!! by the fact that I was given a room that should have been decommissioned as unfit for paying guests. Plus on top of that I had to deal with the trip hazard that each time I had a shower the walk-in shower drainage was not suitable for use, due to poor plumbing drainage, as you see from these pictures the whole bathroom would be flooded so that I had to wade out of the bathroom with water high up to my ankles. The service staff, this individual calling himself Chris, acted like he was the bloody lord of the Manor, he was a very RUDE and Disagreeable little man, unfit to be working in this wonderful historic home, together with the so called maintenance person called Mark, both need to be dismissed as they are RUINING this wonderful historic house due to their Laziness and failure to carry out their employment duties, which if they had, I would not have risked my health in staying for 4 days in a room with black mould and in a room with a not working shower...this is what one would expect in a poor underdeveloped country.....This stay was highway robbery, not only was the room unsatisfactory the food was awful not fit for human consumption!!!

Stayed for four nights with HF Holidays waking tour. Amazing staff - probably the best of any HF holidays houses. Rooms are large but unfortunately our shower was not big enough even for one person. Minimum room service - just to wash the coffee cups and empty the bins. Good breakfast - pity about the coffee (so weak is actually undrinkable).

Enjoyed a recent walking holiday with HF staying at Harrington House. Want to say a big thank you to all the staff. Pip assistant manager made everyone very welcome, he has a super personality. To all catering and bar staff amazing team, food was fantastic.

I had the pleasure of staying at Harrington House In Nov 2023 as a part of a festive walking weekend run by HF. Harrington House has always been well run by efficient, courteous and accommodating staff. However, this latest stay the staff surpassed previous stays; the staff comprise of Lucille, Pip, Chris and staff. Lucille was away this particular weekend but Pip ran the show to a very high standard ably assisted by Chris and staff. The chef deserves a special mention as each meal was cooked and presented to an excellent standard. This weekend was the best in a while; visiting the Christmas market at Blenheim one day and a long walk the next day, Pip and staff catering and surpassing the previous high standard and the access to Bourton-On-The-Water shops, cafes and pubs is a plus. I am very much looking forward to returning in a couple of weeks and seeing the House decorated for the Christmas period.

My friend &I have just returned from Harrington House in Bourton on the Water - we had a wonderful time and have to say the staff looked after us so well.Thank you to the manager Julia, Who was professional, kind and helpful… she created a relaxed atmosphere and nothing was to much trouble for her..thank you. I would like to mention Chris who was a delight and lit up the room with his presence and made sure we all enjoyed our stay… thank you Chris - you are a gem. All the lovely waiting on staff were amazing and friendly - you all work so hard and deserve credit for it. The chef also cooked wonderful food every day - thank you. Bourton on the water is beautiful and a 2 minute walk into the centre- we were so lucky to stay there. Visit Harrington house you will love it.
