Zwahili Private Game Lodge & Spa

The stuff was very kind and friendly with my 7 years old daughter. It is a very peaceful and beautiful place in nature. I would definitely come back to have some quite time. My friend also went to the spa 3 days to have massage and said it was fabulous

Zwahili was the perfect place for silence and solitude from the hustle and bustle of Johannesburg. Clarity and Pier are wonderful hosts: chef salamina and chef Khumo are attentive dining experts. I intend to come back again. Ross the game ranger is so knowledgeable on all the wildlife! This was the perfect place for peace and relaxation.

We went for our 21st wedding anniversary, oh what a time we had, originally booked a std room, upon arrival was surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a safari tent, WOW is not even describing our experiences, went to dinner, had the MOST AMAZING 3 course dinner, when returning to our tent, they made it super special with a special note & decoration, Saturday morning had early morning coffee on the deck, Njala's came to visit, went for breakfast, once again what a spoil, after breakfast we treated ourselves to a spa session, the massagers had magic hands, went for an afternoon game drive, animals was a bit shy, didn't see much, except for Blue Wildebeest, Zebra, Hartebeest, lions & Koedoe, but had SO MUCH fun with another couple on the drive, laughing & joking, Saturday evening once again an exceptional dinner, had early coffee on the deck this morning, amazing breakfast & another visit from the Njala's, left with very sore hearts, but can't wait to visit again.

Enjoyed a relaxing stay at Zwahili. Charity, Frans, Anna and Chef Khumo are a friendly, attentive team. On hand to assist while providing guests space to enjoy the lodge. The lodge is well maintained with clean comfortable rooms. I had read some reviews about the hot/cold water. Clear instructions provided on the welcome sheet so, didn’t have any issues. Appreciated the turndown service and complementary nightcap. The game drives were relaxing and informative. The meals were thoughtfully prepared and well presented.

I really recommend the place. Excellent chef. Friendly staff. Clean facilities. Quiet place! The game drive was very though, with Ross explaining all the details, from African weepin plant to the springboks. Leta at reception doing. Oh not to forget the the spa.

We recently stayed at Zwahili Game Lodge, and it was the perfect way to end our trip. We split our time between one of the suites and a tent, and both were incredible. The whole experience was so relaxing and peaceful—exactly what we needed. It’s also a fantastic place for families, with amazing food (even gluten-free options!) that made dining a pleasure for everyone. One of the highlights was our private pool, where we spent hours just unwinding, but the main pool near the lodge gave us one of the most memorable moments—a nyala casually walked right up to us while we were swimming! It felt like something out of a dream. The game drives were so enjoyable and had a different feel compared to Kruger. While there weren’t any big predators, it was refreshing to see large herds of wildebeest, kudu, and nyala in such a calm, predator-free environment. Our guide, Anna, was wonderful—so knowledgeable and kind. The sundowner stops with drinks and snacks were the cherry on top of an already great experience. A special mention has to go to Charity, the outstanding duty manager. She was always present, ensuring our needs were met and making us feel so well cared for. She ran an exceptional team that helped everyone relax and fully embrace the slower pace of life here. Charity and her team made it so easy to take in the beauty and nature that surrounds the lodge. The beds were unbelievably comfortable, with crisp, clean sheets that made crawling in at night a joy. Zwahili truly embodies tranquility and peace. If you’re looking for a slower pace to recharge and reconnect with nature, this is the perfect place to do it. We left feeling so refreshed and can’t wait to go back someday!
