Charm Palace Porto

If I could rate this a 4.5, I would. This is a lovely little place to stay in a great location in Porto. They were very hospitable and check in was very simple. We were worried about privacy with it having some “shared” spaces, but everything felt secure and private. Breakfast was always out when we woke up and was very delicious. The room and bathroom were very spacious with a nice, modern, clean tub and shower. The good: - Great location - Good and fresh breakfast - Very hospitable - Timely to respond to requests - Lots of Space - Lots of privacy The only criticisms I have are small and I do not consider them “dealbreakers”, but they are worth nothing. - The lack of AC (although common) was a slight disappointment given the price range. - The tub was great, but the water is either blistering hot or freezing cold, there is not any sort of temperature adjustability. - Breakfast is slightly overpriced

We had a wonderful stay! The studio was super clean and it had everything we needed, and the palace in itself is beautiful and very well kept. The guy who welcomed us (sorry I don't remember his name) was extremely sweet and kind with us, and gave us terrific advice on places to visit and where to eat. We truly had a great stay because of him as well, since we followed all of his advice. He was always there to help us, and did it with a smile. Thank you so much! The palace is very well situated, the metro is very near and the city centre is just a few minutes away by walk.

What a lovely surprise behind the huge front door, a very comfortable and stylish mini apartment! It would have been great to stay a few more days, and take advantage of the beautiful and peaceful garden.

A friend and I stayed in the two bed Emerald Apartment, which is at the rear of the main building - across the small courtyard garden. The apartment featured two double bedrooms, one of which was en suite. Another bathroom was also available. The kitchen was very handy, with the full size vibrant green fridge a firm favourite! It was lovely having so much space available to us. The location of the Charme Palace was excellent, not too central or too remote. A 10 minute walk saw us at the main area. There is a large supermarket just two minutes away, which was very handy for stocking up on snacks and drinks. The only downside is the lack of any staff on site, but we didn't run in to any problems so it wasn't an issue. Would highly recommend, and if I was to go to Porto again this is where I would want to stay again.

Una casona preciosa junto al centro de Oporto. La ubicación es perfecta porque está en un lugar tranquilo, pero a pocos minutos caminando de todo el meollo. El edificio es precioso, el apartamento también. Quizá se podría mejorar un poco la limpieza, aunque rozaba lo correcto. El personal muy amable. No tiene ascensor, pero para nosotros no fue un problema pese a ir con nuestro bebé (nos permitieron dejar el carrito en la planta baja). Hay un parking barato y cerca y también suele haber sitio para aparcar en la calle, aunque pagando.

El apartamento estaba adecuado pero había que subir unas escaleras exteriores al alojamiento, la cama está en alto, subiendo una escalera estrecha de madera y un poco pegado al techo, donde hay una claraboya un poco rústica difícil taparla y un poco sucia. El cuarto de baño, forrado de tela al estilo italiano, estaba todo apulgarado de la humedad, me dijeron que tenían que arreglarlo. La puerta del hotel, el cual solo tiene una persona a ciertas horas me decepcionó mucho, el interior mejor, pero la habitación no tiene nada que ver con un palacete ni nada parecido, es más bien tipo IKEA
