The Aegean Gate Hotel

This is not a hotel but a second-class AirB&B. See picture of the entrance of the so-called "hotel" ! It took us half-an-hour to find the place simply because it is not known as an hotel. Then nobody at reception at 8 pm, and no note left to provide us with the basic information. We had to ask a neighbour to call for us to find out how to get in the property and what room was assigned to us ! The unit is ill-furnished and not properly maintained: broken wooden table on the terrace, no light in the bathroom, no A/C in the bedroom. We left at 10 am the next day and did not get to see anybody either, except the housemaid. Yes, it is only 700 m (!) from the sea but it's a very winding and very steep walk. Charging 126 euros for the night is outrageous. Given all this, how can this be the 3rd best hotel in Bodrum ??? This is a joke !!!

I cannot say enough good things about our experience here. We checked in quite late and had no problems gaining access to our room. The room had a magnificent view which can be admired while relaxing on the large balcony. Bedroom and bathroom was functional. The host was the best part. So attentive and responsive. Anything we needed…fresh towels, water, more coffee…even helped with some laundry! We forgot something important on check out and he even rushed to have it sent to our next destination. Just an amazing experience. The hotel is located at the top of a hill so good to walk down but we taxied up. Location is perfect…simply walk straight down and you’re at the sea and close to all restaurants etc. The suites are also very quiet. Definitely recommend staying here!

5 gün boyunca kaldığımız bodrumda en keyif aldığımız zamanlar aegaen otelde geçti :) Odaların temizliği manzarası eksiksiz bir şekilde içerisinde herşeyin bulunması ve havuzun güzelliği muazzamdı. Misafirperverliği için Yiğit beye çok teşekkür ediyorum.
