Marasa Sarovar Premiere, Bodhgaya

Excellent resort and helpful staffs. But some upstairs guests room a bit noisy. Location near a biggest sleep Buddha and take rickshaw a few minutes to Mahabodhi main temple.

酒店離正覺塔有點遠，交通不是很方便。晚上發燒了，打電話讓酒店借給我個體温計，然後過了一會兒他派了個人拿了個鉗子🔧給我，無語了。酒店叫車去火車站很貴，1700rs+。如果預算充足，推薦去新開的凱悦，住了兩天非常滿意。吃的也比這邊好。

This hotel stands head and shoulders above the competition in Bodhgaya for comfort, atmosphere, design and service. If you are wondering how the top rated hotels compare here is a brief summary.. The Hyatt Hotel is a little out of the centre and does not have lawns or a pool. There are significant service issues and a real problem with pigeons making the hotel environs unhygienic. The rooms are a high standard of comfort but for some reason don't have a table in front of the sofa for resting your coffee on. Inexplicably they don't offer room service for food which is a major deficiency in service standards. The Anand International Hotel has very helpful staff and good food at reasonable prices. It is also situated quite centrally. This is a at best a 3 star hotel with basic facilities.. and nothing wrong with that. Just don't expect luxury accommodation. Unfortunately the small swimming pool is poorly maintained and is dirty. And now we come to this hotel. Be aware it is a few km away from the centre of Bodhgaya. The village in which it is situated in is extremely poor and the contrast with the gated luxury of the hotel and the surroundings is striking. However the hotel are aware of this and apart from offering jobs to locals from the village they are trying to secure land in order to build a school for the village children many of whom are in abject poverty. As with all the hotels in Bihar you need to be aware that it's a dry state and that you will be required by the hotel to sign an undertaking that you will not consume any alcohol whilst resident. Consuming alcohol is a crime in Bihar. As for the standards within the hotel there is only one word for it. Excellent. The surroundings are really beautiful ..... gardens ,flowers, and water features all maintained to a very high standard. It has a classy very high end resort feel and unusually for the state it has been designed with elegance and aesthetics in mind, which combine to produce an exceptional ambience. A good size swimming pool is, as the rest of the property very well maintained. Room service was prompt and professional. The Dinner and Breakfast buffets were excellent with a personal wish for some more spicy dishes on offer ,but the food like everything else in the hotel was of an extremely high standard. The rooms were again thoughtfully designed comfortable and spacious with a large table if you wished to enjoy meals from the excellent in room dining. So if you want the best hotel in the Bodhgaya (by some margin) experience the understated and elegant luxury with Oberoi standards of service at this hotel. It's the best option by far.

I recently stayed at Hotel Marasa Sarovar in Bodhgaya for a conference, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The property is quite spacious and well-maintained, featuring a pool, gym, banquet hall, reading room, park, and garden. The ambience is one of the standout aspects—calm, serene, and perfect for both work and relaxation. Its slightly outside the main city (seems to be in a village) but its very close to Mahabodhi Temple (2-3km). The staff were courteous and helpful throughout our stay, which made things smoother during the conference. The only slight letdown was the restaurant—it was decent but not particularly memorable. Food was not that great. Still, given the peaceful setting and range of facilities, Marasa Sarovar is a solid choice for events or a quiet getaway in Bodhgaya.

My overall experience has been excellent. The ambiance is serene. Room, Bed Linen and Washroom was clean and fresh. Food was good, staff was very helpful. Great hospitality. This place is a picture perfect with great indoor and outdoor. They do dhuni everyday which adds to the overall positive energy of the place. The road to the hotel passes through a narrow road which has village settlement but this is a very short stretch of road which is just 2 to 5 mins between the hotel and main road. To travel locally one has to book a cab or toto. Even the hotel can help you in booking local transport. Across Gaya and Bodh Gaya there are lot mosquitoes and Marasa Sarovar is no exception so it would be ideal to carry a mosquito repellent cream or spray to protect oneself. I would highly recommend this place.
