Hotel Anemone

I’d give it 0 stars but that isn’t a given option on tripadvisor! We have booked this hotel last minute a week ago. I can not express how awful the experience was! From arrival where no one even greeted us, the owner looked down at his computer completely ignoring our presence, despite knowing we were arriving, to leaving the hotel two nights later due to how awful the whole experience was. Even then the owner had nothing to say to us. Overpriced for what it is! The rooms are small and bathroom door doesn’t even seal shut. Prisons have more privacy. Bathrooms have no soap in them just same shower/shampoo bottle as in the shower. Plastic and synthetic duvets that spark at night! Not clean and not even comfortable! Lifts don’t work, dining area was a shamble. Attempted breakfast once and left scarred for life. Not enough food for the number of guests, small spaces, even decaf coffee was an issue. Food selection was deplorable. For dinner ( which we opted out of despite paying for half board) guests have to chose: meat, fish or vegetarian! Not even an idea of what that means. And for a steep cost to guests. Absolutely the worst ever experience have ever had! Shameful that the owners advertise a hotel that resembles prison more than anything else. The way we were treated was deplorable and unacceptable. They didn’t even ask a question of why we are leaving after just two nights. Shame on you for treating paying customers like this. Unacceptable! I have not taken any photographs as the only thing I could do when staying there was to run out of the hotel and stay out as long as possible. Deplorable!

I stayed at the Anemone Hotel for the 10th time this weekend. It feels like home away from home, from the very late check-in at 11PM with late dinner awaiting us all the way ,...to the early bird breakfast, before 7AM All in all - great coming back again and again, skiing out and in, being trated as family and enjoying the family hospitality all around our stay. we'll be soon back.

Kinder playground, spa and generally equipment are high quality. Rooms are large and nice. They are cleaned very early in the morning, during the breakfast. Food is very good, especially the breakfast. Service is perfect, children are welcome.

Everything was great : the location, the people of the hotel, the installations (playground, sportsroom, sauna / hammam) and the room was perfect. We were with all my families and everyone (babies and adults) was very happy with the hotel.

Our family of six stayed at the hotel for the second time. We cannot fault it. Agnes, Johannes and their team are welcoming and provide great service in this relaxed and friendly family run hotel. We had one room on the top floor of the new building which was spacious and comfortable with a great view. Our four children had two rooms on the ground floor of the same building. Both comfortable. Less good views. Excellent breakfast and dinner. Fantastic salad bar and cheeses. Good choice of wine. Very well positioned - ski in and out easy. Great stay - we will be going back.

I've just enjoyed a wonderful four day stay at the Hotel Anemone. I'd never visited Lech before and chose the hotel because of the warm praise so many prior guests have written in earlier reviews. I can only repeat what has been said before, the hospitality I was shown at this family-run hotel was so warm and gracious. The entire staff could not have been more thoughtful and welcoming.  I've stayed in many charming small hotels in the Alps, but the Anemone surpassed anything I've previously experienced.  As to the hotel, my room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable and all the amenities you could want were provided. The location is as near to ski-in / ski-out as is possible as access on and off the piste is around 50m from the building. There is a ski room with individual lockers with heated boot warmers inside. There are also spa facilities, which I didn't use, but which were clearly popular as I saw many guests in their bathrobes heading to the spa in the post-ski / pre-dinner hours. Also games rooms with a pool table, ping pong, board games, etc... The food at the hotel was extraordinarily good. I was on a half-board plan and so had breakfast and dinner each day. The breakfast service was typical of Alpine hotels - a good and plentiful selection. Each afternoon there is a late-afternoon tea service with a small buffet of hot and cold snacks and pastries. But don't fill up on pastries as the dinner service is exceptional. Each day there is a set 4 course menu with meat, fish and vegetarian options. Suffice it to say is that the hotel's chef is tremendously talented. They rely on locally-sourced ingredients and the style of cooking is rooted in Austrian cuisine but the chef is very inventive. I lt was a joy to eat there each night. If you do stay at the Anemone, treat yourself and book a half-board plan. In short, a perfect stay in the most welcoming hotel - with the finest chef -  that you'll find in Lech.
