Reads Court Holiday Apartments

BEWARE….. it would appear this group has gone bankrupt… arrived last Friday, no apartments and owners have disappeared with our money paid in advance… contact them immediately… email and phone still connected. Like us . Hopefully you paid by credit card..

Stayed at room 11 the place it's self is slightly misleading as the pictures all show the kitchen areas and the bedding however if you saw a picture of the whole room it's like sleeping in the kitchen as the bed is right next to it and the bed wasn't fit for 2 people considering we upgraded it to a extra large double bed, there was a cobweb over the hair dryer and like most hotel's in Blackpool the flooring was filthy and if you're looking for free wifi as its states good luck as we could not even use it won't be staying here again.

Pros: Location was fab Easy self check in with key safe Kitchen with fridge and kettle Cons: Large king bed turned out to be 2 beds pushed together so with a big divide in the middle was quite uncomfortable Was also told there was an EV charger when I booked, on arrival this wasn’t the case and we then wasted an hour finding an alternative which ate into our evening plans :( the chargers in the area were all in use, not working, or for taxi only. Cleaners noisy in the morning and loud in the corridors, very thin walls. But they were lovely people, just some consideration for sleeping / relaxing guests would be preferred in the am. Not sure why it says rooms are soundproof 🤣 Parking space chargeable at £8-£10, finding the space was not clear as not signposted. I had to ring them and be directed to a random space across the road with a permit for the windscreen. Space round the back is very tight and poorly lit

I would have happily rated this apartment more than 2 out of 5. The apartment was well equipped comfortable. The location is good and is not to far from the town centre.. the issue I have is that they are unwilling to return my security deposit after they said it would be returned within 7-10 days and having spoke to them numerous times they are still refusing to pay it back

Never have I stayed in a space so blatantly uncared for. Upon arrival, I was met with a foul smell in my room, probably due to the dirty carpet and poor ventilation. I immediately left the room and done what I had to do that evening. When I returned, I had a shower, which led to me almost injuring myself because when I stepped out of the shower I discovered that water had leaked all over the bathroom floor, all the way down to the toilet - causing me to slip and almost fall. I then used the towels provided to try and dry the water up from the floor to prevent any damage and left these towels in the shower. I called a member of staff first thing on Monday morning and notified them of this and asked if someone could check why the water wasn’t draining from the shower. Upon my return to the room later on that evening, I could see that someone had been in my room and left the soaking wet towels in the shower cubicle. This baffled me because as I’m sure you can understand, these towels would start to smell of damp by the next day which was entirely unpleasant on top of an already unbearable stench. After my shower, I pulled back the duvet cover and I was disgusted to find someone else’s hairs on the sheets underneath. I went to sleep reluctantly on top of the duvet that night as I didn’t deem this as an emergency enough to contact someone out of hours. I was nauseous and restless all night and had a terrible sleep. I couldn’t leave the apartment at almost 2am as I was a solo female traveller with no car and nowhere else to go. In the same phone call the next morning I raised my concerns about the sheets being unclean for which he apologised and said someone would be out to change them. Upon my return to the room, I pulled back the new sheets and there were two spiders underneath. It honestly felt like some sort of sick joke. Just after I had arrived, I had gone to unpack my case but quickly decided against it when I realised the wardrobe smelled like something had crawled inside and died there - the smell was absolutely vile and there was no way I could hang my clothes in there. The mattress and the base of the bed were absolutely filthy and look as though they have never been cleaned before. The base of the bed was thick with dust and stains. Absolutely revolting. There were sweets under the bed that had been missed when the room had been hoovered (or not, that would explain a lot) and also sweet wrappers. I had to stand whilst doing my hair and makeup as the chair provided was utterly disgusting. The carpet was fraying away from the wall which is just unpleasant to look at, not to mention a tripping hazard with the threads that were unraveling. The dead flies on the windowsills were the cherry on top. Could the staff make it any more obvious that they don’t pay someone to clean the rooms? I have stayed in other accommodations on the street previously which I paid less for and have never come across any issues like this. The uncleanli

Hello, I am writing this review with a sad heart. We booked the Luxury Townhouse in Blackpool for our family to get together over Christmas as my son lives in Malta and he was visiting the UK during this time. We were informed there was a bar (Number 1) in which we could meet up before checking in. We arranged to meet up there but unfortunately this was impossible as the bar was in the process of refurbishment, with no places to sit and a broken coffee machine so no drinks were available either. We were told we could arrive to check in early but we not given the postcode for the carpark or allowed to check in until exactly 3pm. When we finally got in everything was not as expected, the cleanliness standards were disgusting. Holes in the walls and doors, a big foot print on the inside of the front door, stains on almost every matress, sticky stuff on chairs and tables, the list is endless. We came to reunite with family members that we hadn't seen in years, and feel we were totally mislead by pictures that are not up to date and do not show the current state of the property. This has totally ruined our time together.
