Americas Best Value Inn and Suites Jackson

This poor motel got beaten up by its husband and then left out in the rain with its things in a garbage bag. I am unafraid of sleazy motels, but this was the worst I've ever seen. I have used the expression "roach motel" jokingly before, but this is the first time I've seen roaches skittering around. $105 for the stinkest, most disgusting motel room I gave ever seen, and that's saying something. My first room stank. I went back to the bulletproof window and apologized to make it seem like it was my mistake, saying I should have asked for a non-smoking room. She made it seem like that was going to be hard, though the parking lot was 2/3rds empty, so I asked for a partial refund and they said NO REFUNDS and gave me another room that stank just as bad. There were 100 cigarette burns on the sink in both rooms. Holes punched in the bathroom door, and it hadn't had an update in 40 years. Torn shower curtain, etc., etc., etc., there was nothing right with this place. Sheets were not visibly dirty so I guess there's that.

Very Nasty and Filthy. Doors don’t lock and each room is connected to another room with a tiny chain doesn’t make you feel safe. Staff was so rude when you try to communicate with them that the room is unsatisfactory. Will not give refund Or make any accommodations. The place should be inspected ASAP

Why are we paying for this terrible service. This place is run down and disgusting. Half the lights and television doesn't work. The floors are gross , the rooms stink and sheets are stained. Worst of all , the place is infested by ROACHES. We moved from the first room because of roaches and still had roaches . They tried to convince us that the third room wouldn't but each room got worst. When I tried to show the maintenance the disgusting roach on the tv plug he or she wiped it off and tried to tell me it was saw dust. The man in charged completely ignored us when we tried to come to the desk with the situation and when he finally got to us he says he can't authorize a refund that we would have to wait for a manager to get back from Ann Arbor to do a refund that will take 4 days to come back on the card. When I spoke to this woman Kelli , she told me she was t losing her job for my little $91 . Did I mention every room has ROACHES!! Keep your business sanitary and no one would need their little $91 back in the first place. To top it off they call the cops on us to kick us and all my kids out of the room at night while we were trying to at least feed them before we left. I still don't know if I will get this refund but it is owed to me if not more. This place should be shut down. It's unhealthy for customers. We need to make everyone aware of bad business like this . They shouldn't be able to keep our money for services not being on point.

This was the WORST HOTEL BY FAR that I have EVER stayed in in 70+ years of traveling. We stayed at a motel of this brand earlier in our trip and it was OK. This one was not and we had to leave for health reasons. Of course, they refused a refund as well. I am not kidding-- there was poop inside the toilet, there was vomit on the curtains. The carpet was disgusting and obviously the room really stunk. It looked like someone threw a couple sheets on the bed but the beds had no covers or blankets. The refrigerator was so iced up it was unusable, and there was NO coffee maker or microwave ... even though it was supposed to have these amenities. We were on the third or fourth row of rooms and the further back the rooms were, the worse they were including parking lot . I was afraid to leave my car unguarded even though it was locked. We booked thru priceline so I will be very wary of doing that again as well. The front desk lady did not have our reservation at first, then apologized for not finding it for us (after she did find it).. we should have taken that as a warning and left before it got worse.

ALOT of broken items: door was leaning inward at the top and the bottom by at least a 1/2 inch, hinges rusted though working, door lock (loose fitting on the door had exposed battery pack and internal wiring) also needed to be reprogrammed through manufacturer instructions-three times electronic door cards reprogrammed, tub drain lever/cover broken and out of position-you can see behind the cover inside the wall, floor outlet where ac was plugged in was wide open!! exposed wires, no cover!! smoke detector didn't fit the existing ring it was mounted to. tub floor was cracked and yellowed. ceiling/wall trim was yellowed, coat rack had no hangers and worn away paint, tv remote was missing the battery cover and wasn't programmed to the tv. there was candy wrappers, a soda bottle, straw, and some dead bugs under the bed which also had a raggedy sagging linen material underneath the box springs. the carpet was dirty which blackened my socks within a couple dozen steps. also, the wifi was slow like dial-up. we prepaid for 4 nites, there was very little in the city not booked solid this weekend, but we spent one nite and found another place to book fortunately!! oddly enough, the room had no offensive odors. the owner clearly doesn't care about this place. the staff we interacted with were very helpful and friendly-they should work elsewhere.

There is literally nothing positive about this place. We we're supposed to stay two nights and we wouldn't have even stayed the first night if it hadn't been so late when we arrived. The second we opened the door it smelled like bleach and urine. We turned the AC on which also smelled of urine when the air blew. The carpets were stained, the floors were warped, there was dog food under the door jam that led into the bathroom, the sink was cracked, there was dried blood on our bathroom towels (which we asked for new ones and were told they didn't have any), and the mini fridge didn't work which after seeing the place I was glad I didn't need to put anything in it. I made my kids sleep on top and use their own blankets to cover with because I refused to let them sleep under because god knows what was in it. This place is literally to point where it should be condemned. We asked for our money back for the second night because of how disgusting the place was and he refused. He knows how bad his establishment is and will refuse anyone a refund and then get an attitude with you. Avoid at all costs if you want to be able to sleep good and to avoid catching whatever disease might be lingering there.
