What a great experience. The Avenue is contemporary and tastefully decorated. Howard could not do enough for us. The hotel rooms are lovely and spotlessly clean. The food on the night was great and everything went exactly to plan. Would definitely recommend 👌

The suite was amazing and the staff were very accommodating lovely! Will definitely be staying again. The bathroom was outstanding! Hot tub style bathtub with tv with a separate double shower and two sinks! And bath robes! Only one thing I could comment on maybe needs black out curtains or blinds in bedroom. Secure car parking also.

I had my 50th birthday party at the Avenue hotel recently and we stayed over.The rooms are clean and spacious and the location is great in the heart of the ribble valley.The breakfast was great as always and I will always look forward to staying in the future thank you to all the staff x

Clean. Pleasant staff. Booked a king room but were given a double to start with. Had to jiggle things to get us the king bed we’d booked. On the subject of beds it had to be the worst mattress we’d ever slept on! There were two thin duvets in the wardrobe which we lay over the mattress so we couldn’t feel every spring! Bathroom was good though towels were small and thin. Continental breakfast consisted of toast or cereal. Only croissants were pre-packed and weren’t particularly nice, fresh fruit and yoghurts and a selection of wafer/nut snack bars. Heating in room wasn’t on when we arrived and it was freezing. Queried it and was told to open valve on radiator. Over a couple of days we realised they had heating on a timer which came on late afternoon. Wouldn’t stay here again.

I attended the avenue at a for a family 21st birthday party One of the bar staff was served a drink incorrectly. When asked politely to correct the situation they became incredibly rude, unprofessional and clearly had no training with complaints handling. When the bar manager was asked to be involved they were even worse, rude , condensing and used profanity against a family member . Could not recommend this place !

Terrible. Definitely wouldn't recommend to anyone wanting a function at this establishment. If i could give zero stars i absolutely would. Staff (kids) are rude. Many of us made to feel uncomfortable. Drinks weren't right. Staff didn't have any people skills & didn't seem to know each other upon asking for names to make a complaint about a situation that arose between a member of staff & customer When speaking to the manager who was apparently the owners son we were laughed at when asked for their complaints policy and to rectify a situation that a particular bar maid had made. Emails & complaints have been sent by multiple people from the event so we will see what comes of it (I highly doubt anything with reading other reviews similar to this)

Just terrible! Hired the function room and when we arrived it was absolutely filthy.We had to clean it ourselves. Lazy management didn’t even show their faces during the event leaving young bar staff to deal with everything. After the event some guests complained that they were ill. Gave Howard the chance to respond but he chose an unpleasant email instead where he states ‘the room is basic.’ Take heed basic,dirty facilities and management who do not care about customer service. Do not book here not even in desperation. The absolute worst experience. Reported to appropriate agencies re food and cleanliness standards. BEWARE!
