Best Western the Dartmouth Hotel Golf Spa

One positive I can note is the staff. Friendly and catered to all needs. Oliver at the spa desk was fantastic, I had forgotten my shoes and provided flip flops - thank you! Jody and Sofia in the spa were great. Welcoming, friendly and made you feel relaxed. The massage was also great, happy Birthday stone was much appreciated. The facilities within the spa were great. Loungers and herbal tea provided. However, the cleanliness of the pool facilities were not to standard, very dirty. Jacuzzi was out of order and had scorched a ladies leg. The sand timer in the sauna was broken and there were not enough loungers to cater to all guests. The food in the restaurant was average and the interior was full of bugs and again cleanliness was lacking. Complimentary tea or coffee would have been appreciated with our lunch. Wouldn’t choose to come again.

We came to the hotel to celebrate a friends birthday, spending time in the spa, having a 2 course meal with glass of Prosecco and a Rasul mud treatment. Food was excellent, great value and the spa was relaxing. Unfortunately I fainted during the mud treatment, however, the staff on duty were incredibly kind, attentive and professional, providing first aid and reassurance. I am very grateful to them, and will certainly recommend to others.

Had the best massage ever. The drift away treatment given by Sofia was wonderful and would recommend her. Didn’t have a great night sleep but couldn’t put my finger on why. Pillows were not great. Food was wonderful as ever and the servers were very friendly and attentive.

So this is probably my fourth visit to the hotel, usually a golfing weekend. I live in London so a fair journey. Room 204, the worst shower I've ever experienced. No pressure, no heat. Reason, an old boiler, sorry NOT good enough. I was also told that too many people using the showers at the same time? The bathroom had been very nicely redecorated but that means nothing if you can't warm up after a day in the wind and rain.

Very pleasant hotel set in fabulous grounds. Only stayed overnight so didn’t experience the Spa or other inhouse facilities such as bar and restaurant but passing thru to our rooms found the ambiance very pleasant indeed. Our toons were clean and spacious. TV could go with an upgrade but other than that no complaints. Would definitely consider booking again..and oh yes, most importantly, the staff were extremely pleasant and obliging.

The quality of the food was excellent. Lovely fresh produce and cooked breakfast. Especially liked the availability of plant milks. Room was okay/lovely shower . The golf course was well kept but didn't see any wildlife. Hope the management is badger and fox friendly. Beautiful surrounding countryside and Dartmouth is well worth a visit.

My wife and I visited for a three day golf beak and experienced a pleasant hotel with both challenging and less demanding golf. The excellent guest interfacing staff rescued and enhanced the experience despite limited selection of breakfast average dinner quality and reluctance of kitchen to fillet fish.

Hotel was dirty and tired the check in procedures where poor and lead to unnecessary delays bar staff and waiters did not have a clue what was going on. The clean cups were dirty and the toaster did not work properly, everybody she make more than the minimal effort.

Big thank you to Lynne for a fantastic massage. Lovely spa, everyone very friendly. Lynne was great she suggested a treatment I’d like and it was very relaxing. Highly recommend! Also recommended some products to help with a trouble area. 10/10
