Don’t want to leave overly negative review as the bed was comfy and the room had a window you could open(hate stuffy rooms even with aircon), but on arrival we were told they don’t do early check in even tho the website said they do(turns out they should). We weren’t as early as we thought otherwise this could have been a problem. Staff were friendly enough apart from the early check in thing, room needs so repairs, tap was hanging off in the sink and the bath one was wobbly, it did all work though. There seemed to be some kind of issue with the kitchen and general staffing, I’ve never stopped in a premier inn where the breakfast wasn’t a buffet, it was order to table and wasn’t nice, poached eggs were good, sausages were so undercooked they were wet in the middle. Bacon was just about done and the beans tasted like they had been reheated for a week, had to wait for someone to bring bread out just to make toast and I heard similar complaints from a few other tables, one lady told me the breakfast was horrible, if you ever read this thanks for the warning as I may have eaten undercooked meat without paying much attention, would have took photos or complained but we were pushed for time as had to travel back to relieve baby sitters and see to pets. This may be an understaffing issue? The young lady on reception seemed to be doing half a dozen different jobs, she was certainly no slouch so don’t want a review to reflect badly on her. Would we stop again, probably as it was comfy enough and cheap enough, but I certainly wouldn’t book breakfast!
