Hôtel & Espace Bien-être la Maison du Lierre

The red brick building at the corner of the central park has been carefully renovated to a boutique hotel. My room was small but it had all I needed, a nice view to the street and garden from the French balcony, a mini sized shower and toilet combination closed by a glass wall, large bed, original wooden floors and a kettle for coffee. The tourism office is in front of the square, also a bus stop for the airport and railway station.

Absolute Gem of a Hotel ! We stayed for 4 nights in September. Had a lovey king size bed and large opening French windows , the room was very quiet, even with the windows open. The room was a perfect temperature, slightly cool which was good as it was very hot outside . Ceiling fan was great at night to keep the air moving . There was A/C but we didn’t need it . Lovely bathroom and amazing shower . Room and hotel was absolutely spotless, and the staff could not be more friendly and helpful. We had breakfast there on our first morning which was absolutely lovely, all fresh and local produce. We actually got engaged during this holiday, and are bringing the whole family to Biarritz in June for the “ honeymoon “ and we will all be staying at this hotel ! It’s a great location for shops and access to the main beaches and restaurant.

Great hotel in the beautiful town of Biarritz, being within easy walking distance of the centre and beach. The room and bed were very comfortable and the staff were lovely and on hand for advice and recommendations. The breakfast was exceptional.

Lovely hotel and very well placed in Biarritz. The staff were excellent and offered great recommendations for lunch/ dinner. Breakfast was of an exceptional quality and plentiful. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

We booked a 4 night stay at La Maison du Lierre and were very pleased with our choice. Our room was well appointed, clean and opened out onto a large balcony. Staff were pleasant and helpful. We visited the local Market each morning as this is close by. The location is central, close to the Market, shops and the beach front. One day we walked 19000 steps as we enjoyed walking Biarritz very much.

I stayed at this hotel for 11 nights in two different rooms on the third (and top) floor, and both were comfortable, bright, quiet and clean. The hotel is built in an old mansion style town house, and is a bit quirky for the same reason. The wooden floors creaked in places and the lift/elevator has a mind of its own. It needs a gentle touch, but this only added to the charm for me. Some rooms have balconies, and the view over the park is beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful and did their best to solve any issues I had, like the WiFi which didn't work at all in the second room I stayed in. It was fixed while I was there and worked impeccably after that. The rooms on the third floor are decorated in individual style which adds to the homey feel. You have your 'own' room, not an impersonal hotel room where all the rooms are exactly the same. There is very tasteful art on the walls, for instance, which is a first for me in a hotel. Close by: a supermarket; Carrefour, and next to it the local daily market (indoors - open 7:00 to 13:30) and a large number of cafés and restaurants. Around the corner, a coin laundry. Biarritz is built on a hill, so its down to the sea side and back up again to this hotel, but the roads are not steep, and its good exercise. The town itself is gorgeous, with the best air I've experienced in this life, soft and clean. I was very happy to stay here. Recommended. Room tip. Room 34 has a balcony, floor a bit creaky. Room 36 is smaller but has a bath tub.
