Hotel de Silhouette

Charming hotel in the heart of the city! Excellent location and close to everything. 15 min by taxi from the train station, 1/2h walk to the bus station, 5 min walk to the beach . Very friendly staff (especially Kati), great room service, clean room, comfortable beds and nice bedding and fluffy towels. The only negative is that our window was right outside of the garden patio and ppl would stay and talk loud (late in the eve) and smoke would fill the room, I would pref to have my windows open when it’s nice and breezy outside. Overall beautiful property that we highly recommend.

We spent one night at the Silhouette and we loved it. I would go again on a future visit. The hotel is compact but beautifully decorated and presented. The rooms are all different and individual in style but are comfortable and contemporary. The garden is an oasis and the staff are incredibly capable and helpful. The location is perfect for exploring the beaches, restaurants and shops in Biarritz. I wished we could have stayed longer

Stayed here for 3 nights this week. What a fantastic place. Customer service was excellent throughout from welcome to farewell. Always pleasant and helpful. Hotel is really clean and room was spacious with everything you need for a short break. Housekeeping was consistently good throughout, good quality towels and comfy bed, 2 free bottles of water daily (one still, one sparkling) and top quality dyson hairdryer and Marshall speaker in situ! The location is excellent with bars, restaurants, and shops on your doorstep. A carrefour supermarket is directly opposite. Only a short walk to the beaches and viewpoints. 15 minutes from the airport 16 euros by taxi or 2.30 euros for two by bus each way. Highly recommend staying here.

A terrific stay at a charming boutique hotel in the heart of Biarritz. Everything about this stay was lovely, from the location (close to the Marché de Biarritz and a quick walk to the walking path along the cliffs) to the welcoming and helpful staff to lunch at the tree-shaded courtyard restaurant where the food was delicious. The room was a comfortable size with a large walk-in shower and a separate water closet. Large windows that open and let in the sea breeze made the temperature comfortable during our summer stay. The bed was comfortable and the linens were high quality and everything in the room was very clean. I must point out and commend the management and staff for one of the most amazing bits of customer service that I have ever experienced at a hotel. A bit of a long story, but it involved a package that I mailed at La Poste containing my shopping treasures while visiting Biarritz. The package was addressed to my non-France home address but was returned to the hotel address long after I had departed the hotel and France. Not only did the staff collect the package and let me know what had happened, they offered to send a staff member back to La Poste to repackage and re-mail the package to me. As a very frequent traveler who has traveled to over 90 countries, I have a lot of experience with hotels and customer service (or a lack of customer service), and I have to say that I was blown away by this display of customer care, and for a customer who was already gone from the property. The saga continued with the second mailing being returned to the hotel, and once again, they graciously assisted me with receiving the package and holding it in their office until a friend could come and pick it up in person. I cannot thank them enough for this great kindness and courtesy that they displayed and I cannot recommend them highly enough. You will be well taken care of by the staff of this hotel. They are simply outstanding, and I do not normally use those words for a hotel stay. Thank you, Hotel de Silhouette! You have a huge fan, and I will be planning another trip to Biarritz soon and I know exactly where I will stay.

We were surprised by how much we loved this hotel. We had booked additional nights at a much more expensive place in Biarritz, to "treat ourselves" for the last half of our stay, but we wish we had booked the whole time at Hotel de Silhouette!. It is a lovely boutique hotel and the rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable. It is not right on the beach, but it is within walking distance to the beach as well as everything else! We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Biarritz.

Stayed with my mother for a one night stop over. We arrived and took use of the on site parking, this is a challenge especially if you have a large car but not to much of an issue for us and we were just grateful that there was parking in a large town like this. Hotel staff were really helpful and chatty. The man we booked in with (sorry I cannot remember his name but he was Italian) was extremely helpful and a wonderfully cheerful introduction to the hotel. We checked into our room which was absolutely gorgeous with amazing views from the balcony. Twin room with comfy beds and excellent facilities. Bathroom was clean and had everything we could need but then the whole room was clean and fresh. Breakfast was of course continental but fresh and plentiful, there was an option to eat inside or outside on the terrace. There are amazing photographic art pictures on the walls that are very thought provoking (with the option to buy) All in all a really pleasant start to the holiday with my mother. Would not hesitate to recommend, in fact I have already been recommending it and hope that we can visit again.
