River Bank Jungle Resort

A newly built resort in Chitwan. Rooms are spacious. They provide full packages for safari, but pricing is not transparent.

River Bank Jungle Resort is a peaceful place surrounded by nature. It’s located near a quiet river and has lots of trees and birds all around. It felt calm and refreshing to stay here. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We especially liked sitting on the porch and enjoying the view. The staff were kind and helpful throughout our stay. The swimming pool was small but very nice. It’s surrounded by trees, which makes it feel private and cool. We enjoyed swimming there in the afternoon after walking around. The food was tasty and fresh. They served local dishes, and we looked forward to every meal. The dining area was open and had a nice jungle view.

We are family of 3 - 2 adults and 1 kid - 11 years. We had a memorable stay at River Bank Jungle resort - we booked jungle package that included stay, food, experiences and jungle safari, for 4 days and 3 nights. The hospitality was excellent - they took good care of us. Food: The food was customized as per our requirements and the quality & taste of the food was good. We liked apple pie, momo, fish/ chicken dishes and pan cakes especially. Safari: We took 1 full day safari and 1 half a day safari. We also did bird watching and jungle walking tours in the morning. We had good sightings of tiger, bears, rhino, deers, and 70+ birds during our stay. We saw a few flying fishes during our boat ride. We saw a few migratory birds like paradise fly-catcher, etc., and several resident birds. Our guide was Surendra, and he was very knowledgeable. He was the primary reason we were able to spot the tiger - he identified the right spot, and after waiting for ~20 mins in that spot, we were able to see the tiger. At the end of the trip, he gave us a written personalized list of all the birds that we spotted, which is a great souvenir for us. Resort: The resort was right in front of the river, and we spotted rhinos, crocodiles, gharial, a lot of birds, right from the observation deck, sipping a cup of tea. The rooms were clean, and had an attached pool next to it. We didn't use the swimming pool but we saw a few other guests using the pool. They also organized village tour and Tharu dance. Overall, a great stay and I would strongly recommend this for anyone who plans to visit Chitwan.
