I walked about 12 miles on the Camino de Santiago and arrived at the Hotel Villa de Betanzos. I was greatly disappointed. The reception was wonderful, but the room is a DUMP. The photos don't show what the room truly looks like. I might have slept 1/2 an hour because of the horribly uncomfortable bed. It was the worst night sleep I've had in a long time. I would NOT recommend.

What a wonderful retreat in Betanzos. The rooms were scrupulously clean, the hotel personnel were professional, kind and patient. They were very accommodating to our group of ten peregrinos on the Camino Inglés and had great recommendations for dinners! Thank you Paula and Laura.

Hotel smells like there is mold/ mildew. So much street noise. People knocking on doors at 1, 130, 2 am No air conditioning until May. Room was too hot. Was checked into an occupied room. If not for all the street noise walls so thin the snoring in next room kept me awake. I travel with a sound conditioner to help mask noise. This was of no help. I am letting the tour company that booked here know also.

I appreciated the free underground parking: one of the reasons for choosing the hotel for an overnight stay. The carpark itself looks semi derelict, connecting to the hotel with a passge that smells of damp. The lift takes you to reception which is bright and looks cared for. The two people on reception were helpfull, supplied a map of the town and showed me the places to eat. Our room was a fair size and despite having 4 windows, the double glazing kept out most of the traffic noise. The bathroom was fairly standard and some essentials supplied. I was suspicious about the damp and there was a small ammount of black mold behind a curtain . Breakfast was humble even by Galician standards, provided in a close by building. I was happy to stay for a night but would not have wanted to stay to use it as a base. To clarify earlier comments about the distance from the centre. On the map it does not look far, however the incline back to the hotel may well make you feel it is rather longer.

Para tirar entero y reformar por completo, habitaciones un horror , desayuno bien cutre y encima lo cobran bien alto, una vergüenza, pésimo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ubicación buena a diez minutos del centro, en una zona tranquila. Hotel muy antiguo con habitaciones pequeñas sin vistas y una pequeña, muy pequeña, ventana para entrar aire o claridad. Todo muy antiguo, necesita reformas. Parking justo abajo del hotel, parece un aparcamiento abandonado que han unido al hotel muy oscuro y sin vigilancia ni barrera demasiado abandonado con muchísima humedad. Desayuno muy "pobre" y pésimo, poco de embutido de baja calidad al igual que el pan muy muy reducido las elecciones para desayunar y demasiado sucio.

Hotel habilitado en una antigua construcción, muy amplio, parece ser que no cuentan con personal en temporada baja, por lo que es probable que no tengan atención las 24 hrs. Los propietarios personas muy amables, la habitación en estado regular, los detalles negativos, no estaba surtido el jabón liquido en la regadera y las camas individuales que juntaron para hacer una grande, eran tipo catres, bastante incomodas, no como una cama normal de hotel

Precio desmedido para un hotel que solo tiene fachada, y nunca mejor dicho. Habitaciones simples y pequeñas, colchón ruidoso e incómodo, y desayuno cutrecillo. No volveremos y ni por supuesto recomendaremos. Se aprovechan de la poca oferta que hay en la zona, pero no merece la pena pagar su alto precio.

Un hotel bien situado, y quizás el mejor de Betanzos. Pero ¡¡¡ la cama no me resultó agradable, y las almohadas aun menos. Y eso que solicité dos, pero eran tan delgaduchas, que parecían una solamente. El desayuno, pasable simplemente.
