We went to barat perhentian during the school holidays. Check in was smooth. We arrived early and was given our room once it is ready. The beach in front of barat is not that great, but you can walk 10mins to perhentian island resort beach - the beach there is awesome. White sand, clear blue water and there are some coral & nemo at the end of the beach.

Everything is relative. For perhentian, barat is one of the cleaner hotels around. But for the price I paid during super peak season, one would expect cleaner services. I waited hours for the room to be ready, which I can understand as the night before was fully booked and I arrived before the official check in time. However, when I was finally able to check into my room,, the shampoo packet from the previous guest wasn't picked up and the drain hole still had hair. Towels were also damp. Once we got over this initial disappointment, I was quite happy for the rest of my time there. Room was well equipped with a kettle, hair dryer, fan and super cool air conditioning, the latter was crucial to alleviate the record heat we are experiencing. Location was superb as well. You can go snorkeling at the beach outside the neighboring hotel, where you can see baby sharks hanging around the rocks. I was assured by the staff that momma shark don't hunt there. I guess they are right since I lived to write this review. Those a little braver can swim out to turtle point (life jacket recommended). Every morning, loads of boats arrive here to drop off eager snorkelers hoping to catch a glimpse of turtles. It's nice to have the option to go anytime at your leisure, staying at barat hotel nearby.

The room is nice and clean for the family. The restaurant's cooking is very delicious and reasonable prices. Snorkelling trips are beautiful with corals and crystal-clear water. Should not miss all the snorkelling trips, especially the shark trip and Rawa Island.

Overall, it's a good hotel, and the restaurant is also good. A wonderful place where you can find peace of mind.

Very good experience from start to finish. We came from another hotel and they checked us in early around 11am which allowed us to freshen up and take a snorkelling trip. We booked a standard but were given a much larger room. A/C, Fridge and shower were great. The hotels restaurant was very good and offered a very efficient service. Check out was quick and to get off Perhentian Besar, we got picked up at Barat's own jetty. It was an absolute pleasure to stay here!

Nice enviroment and staffs. Close to beach and nature. You can literally hear the sound of Sunda Flying Lemur. Will coming back surely.

The staff are very friendly and nice. Love the food there! The BBQ is a must try for dinner. The room is nice and cozy, highly recommended for a short getaway.

There's no mineral water in our room when we check in until the next day then they provide. Water pressure for the shower is unstable. There's tv in the room but no TV channel to watch and if you want to watch movie you have to go to reception to get thumb drive which they downloaded some English movie in there. Food menu there are very limited and meal serving time separate to Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. Price of the food is 2 to 3x higher than other restaurants next to it. Wifi signal need to be stronger. Beer selling at RM 10.60 per can. Read Google review, many complaints about food hygiene but thank God we didn't have that problem and also because we not having our 3 meals at the same place, many other resorts restaurants you can go and find out. Location is not the best as it's in between rocky and rough sands Beach. There's 2 to 3 more nicer resorts with beautiful beach next to them, price maybe higher I think it's worth to try. Smoker please remember buy all your cigarettes before going as there's no shop selling cigarettes and if you really need it you got to take a boat to opposite island to buy and all cigarettes selling at RM 19 per pack. And bring own alcohol are highly recommended 😅

The staff very friendly and helpful

В целом неплохо, удобная кровать, хорошо работал кондиционер. Разочаровало состояние ванной, душ лил прямо на туалет, всегда было сыро, потому что подтекал душ и было грязно, один раз встретился таракан. У отеля нет собственного пляжа, дорогой ресторан. Радовало, что в 10 минутах ходьбы был пляж отеля PIR, самый лучший на острове и ресторан Mamas

Hi saya tempah dua bilik untuk menginap di sini untuk 2 hari satu malam. Saya check-in lambat pada hari itu tapi yang paling menyakitkan hati adalah staff perempuan (Muslim girl) yang bekerja di situ bekerja dan uruskan check in kami dengan sangat PERLAHAN, selain itu sabun mandian dalam bilik berbau basi dan busuk..malahan paip air hujan juga sudah patah dan bilik air yang sangat kotor serta BERBAU. Memang tak dapat dinafikan bilik air dalam chalet adalah sangat-sangat teruk dan BERDAKI. Harga untuk sebilik yang sangat mahal TAK BERBALOI UNTUK BAYAR KALAU DAPAT BILIK YANG KOTOR DAN SERVIS DARI STAFF YANG TERUK. untuk esoknya bot untuk kembali ke kuala Besut sangat sesak dengan penumpang oleh kerana STAFF perempuan yang salah bagi info maka kami terpaksa berhimpit dan cuaca pada hari itu sangat tidak baik. Bayangkan berhimpit satu seat panjang dalam bot tu 5 orang dewasa satu seat dan kena pegang kanak kanak kecil usia ( 8~ 10) sangat tidak masuk akal. Saya harap pihak hotel sila pastikan pekerja anda tahu asas MANAGEMENT supaya customer berpuas hati dan staff lain ( agent bot) juga tidak marah marah pada anda. SILA PASTIKAN STAFF ANDA SEORANG YANG BOLEH MANAGE SETIAP KERJA DENGAN BAIK. Sekian

Deuxieme fois au Barat et c’est un hotel bien placé, vivant et offrant un accès aux belles plages (en bateau et une à pied) et a differents restaurants (accessibles à pied). Les chambres sont assez basiques mais le menage est fait. Je recommande

Отель находится прямо на пляже, с собственным пирсом. Пешком можно дойти до пляжа Пир, и от туда через джунгли есть тропа на другую сторону острова. В номере был кондиционер и вентилятор, сейф и холодильник. Вода горячая, кондиционер периодически вырубался, но перезапустить можно тут же в номере с кнопки. В кафе на пляже подавали неплохой том ям, не традиционный (в нем были морковь, цветная капуста), но в целом хороший. В других кафе на острове мы не видели в продаже пива, а тут оно есть, и несколько видов. На территории гуляют вараны, белки. Вечером красивый вид из кафе на соседний остров.
