Michelberger Hotel

Really close to Warschauer Straße station and lots of restaurants and bottle shops. The lobby and restaurant are beautiful and the rooms are clean and comfortable. We never seemed to be more than twenty minutes away from anything we were looking to do.

Overall - The hotel is really well located, close to the river and benefitting from great public transport links. The area around is very busy however it isn't noisy inside. Room - I was in a solo room, the bed was super comfortable and the room was small but not cramped. It had very high ceilings to let in lots of light. It was nicely decorated and very clean. F&B - I would strongly recommend the breakfast at the hotel. It was a buffet, with a wonderful selection of dishes including many items from their farm just outside Berlin. The bar too was really great, it was an open air courtyard in the middle of the building - lovely selection of drinks and a great place to chill after a long day of walking the city.

Like all of Berlin — In theory its cool. But it's also overhyped, lacking substance & probably too hip for its own good. The hotel is a cool-looking place, with some good, low-cost design elements. The furnishings are kind of cheap-retro. The rooms are stapled together from plywood. But it works. It's fine. The staff are all super young and hip, but seem disinterested. A lot of them don't seem to know what's going on or what they're doing. It's in the middle of a cool area. But still, it's not a value-for-money kind of option. It's pretty expensive for what it is. For some reason, there is 500-decibel music playing at breakfast. Maybe the DJ from the courtyard the night before just hadn't had enough of ruining the opportunity for guests to relax and chat with one another. "We're going to block the amount for the room on your credit card. But don't worry, we ARE NOT charging it to your card."... They charged it to my card and I ended up paying twice. A member of the bar staff seemed to quit mid-shift. As a result, we waited 25 minutes for a glass of wine, even though there were as many staff wandering around as there were guests sitting in the courtyard. As you'll see from other reviews: there is no air conditioning, and the rooms are super hot. I don't find this too bad. But it's a thing, for sure. It's an ok hotel. You can definitely pay the same price to stay somewhere quieter and more hotel, less hostel. But then you might miss out on the joy of being served a locally sourced vegan toasty by a kid with a face tattoo. When in Berlin........

To say that this hotel deals in hospitality is a cruel and terrible joke. They have been the LEAST kind, the LEAST hospitable, the LEAST understanding group of people. We have had the most horrible experience with this sad excuse for a hotel. Listen to the other reviews calling it a hostel. Do not waste your money on a place that treats its guests with contempt, indifference and disdain. Go to a real hotel for the same price.

Loved it, really relaxed, clean and super friendly, great location and the front lounge is a really great place to hang out. I have nothing but good to say about the staff who really made our stay. Train station across the street is very very handy.

The hotel experience starts with their website and is a clue to the creativity put into this place. We stayed in a loft room that faced the courtyard. The loft is unique and does require climbing a ladder and a little hike to get in the bed. The room was small, clean, had a TV with its own preset content, pretty poor WiFi, cute yoga/exercise room on different floor and very nice breakfast buffet with lots of vegan options. Open windows allowed airflow along with some music/courtyard noise that eventually got quiet and although its nonsmoking rooms unusual smells came from courtyard which caused us to close window. The challenge is with window closed it got unbearably stuffy in our room. It’s the main reason for four vs five stars. I would recommend the hotel simply not allow staff, guests or otherwise to smoke there at all. The hotel reception desk,housekeeping, and breakfast staff were very friendly, hardworking and helpful. The hotel restaurant is also recommended to try at least once which also had vegan options and excellent staff. The cafe had excellent staff as well just very few vegan food options.

Trendy hotel, but very noisy, breakfast below average. rooms comfortable with suprising amenities. Would not repeat again because of noise late at night from either other gueat in restaurant or the Garbage place outside the building
