The staff at the hotel is awesome! Can't express enough how much we appreciate their kindness, knowledge and customer focus. Deep respect to such amazing team! Our small room was... small, but very clean. The beds and pillows were soft and comfy, the linens and towels - pristine while. The room was cleaned daily and towels were changed as requested. Plus a lovely view from the window and aroma of the blooming linden trees. A few things shocked us initially. It was an unpleasant surprise to see that there are no room amenities: no kettle, no tea, no cups, no drinking water. Only two glasses and the bottle opener. Unpleasant discoveries continued after visiting the bathroom. Again, no toothbrushes, no toothpaste, no shampoo & conditioner (only washing liquid inside the shower stall and next to the sink), no slippers, no even shower cap! I am not mentioning the bathrobes... Since we had with us our own slippers and shower cap, the absence of the basic stuff offered everywhere else around the globe, did not spoil our stay. But honestly, for €145 euro per night I really expected more. So come prepared, bring all small items that could make your stay comfortable, and you will have a great stay, as we have had.

Hotel is situated in a quiet side street. Our apartment faced towards the side street, with a playground on the other side of the street. It was very quiet, could sleep with open window. The apartment was clean with basic hotel accessories. We enjoyed the breakfast, with a fine buffet and a relaxing atmosphere.

This is a small hotel in a largely residential neighborhood within walking distance of several train stops in Berlin. Although the building dates to 1908, it has been renovated and everything appears relatively new. The room was small but had what we needed, except no coffeemaker or kettle. They will give you hot water at the front desk if you ask. The staff was friendly and helpful, storing our luggage for us twice and bringing it up to our room (up stairs) when the room was ready. Like most German hotels, it does not have air conditioning. It was somewhat hot when we were there but we kept the windows open and used the fan. The neighborhood is relatively quiet, but it's still the city, so there is sometimes noise outside. We didn't get their breakfast so can't comment on that.

Absolutely loved this place! We were given a warm welcome when we arrived which is always a good start! The hotel is super clean and amazing value! The location is perfect, quiet but so close to public transport you can easily get to any where in Berlin that you want to get to. Breakfast was a fabulous start to the day. And all the staff were friendly, warm and so helpful. Special thanks to the ladies who ran the breakfast, they were so quick to replenish the buffet and make sure we all had enough coffee and especially to Hans on the front desk, who helped us with our questions and even booked a table for us at a restaurant. Really hope to come back to Berlin in the future and stay here, we loved it and highly recommend!

This little hotel in the Steglitz section of Berlin is a delight! My room was roomy and well organized and appointed: very comfortable. I did not eat breakfast there so can not comment on that. The staff could not be friendlier or more helpful about getting around Berlin (and or for anything else). The hotel is located just one block from the U9 station so very easy to get anywhere in Berlin. In addition, the hotel is just around the corner from a large shopping street, with lots of shops of all kinds, restaurants, outdoor street food, grocery stores etc. All and all the hotel is in a great location. I could not recommend this hotel more highly.

I spent a week in this medium-priced hotel in the Friedenau district of south Berlin. It is close to the U-Bahn and bus routes and has many shops, cafes and restaurants nearby, as well as parks and playgrounds. My impression was that this is a safe area for tourists. The smart frontage of the hotel belies the ageing building within, where rooms on upper floors are reached by stairs if you don’t like the tiny two-person lift. Facilities and amenities are limited. My room on the fourth floor was unbearably hot and airless with no ventilation except from a desk fan. Moreover, I had a faulty toilet that would not flush and it took hotel staff three days to get around to fixing it. In my opinion the hotel is comparatively overpriced for the level of quality and service provided.

We were at the "Hotel Anna 1908" (Steglitz) - Büsingstraße 1 -- for two weeks. Very upscale and swanky. Pleasant staff, very clean, very tidy. Lotsa of under-the-trees outside tables. Made ice for our Camparis-and-Sodas. The parking garage across the Bornstraße -- the cross street -- boasted a Mercedes-AMG S63 coupe -- MSR prices STARTING at $174,150. I convinced Lor that the color was ALL wrong. Phwew. Oh, and also a late-model Ferrari with a transparent engine cover - a F360 Modena, perhaps. When they moved it, they revved it. A lot! Parking must be lucrative. Turns out that there were/are loads of good eating joints within strolling distance ... we didn't get a renta-car.! And a "Rewe" market with a wide array of red European wines and inexpensive "Campari", i.e., $13 a pop. "Skoal!" "Prost!" "Cheers!" "Ganbei!" Around the corners were the "Forum Steglitz" and huge "Boulevard Berlin" ... sorta like malls. Plus the "Walter -Schreiner-Platz" U-Bahn station. Sells ticket store beer on Sunday, BTW, FYI, FWIW (a lot ... ).
