I often use Hilton on business trips. This is because the service, facilities, and location are excellent. I used DoubleTree By Hilton in Berlin for the first time. The flight time was delayed, so I checked in after midnight. This stay was more regrettable because I used it personally.
1. The problem with the card key in the room I received at check-in, and one card key I received at check-in had errors, so I had to go to the counter several times and get it reissued.
2. Cleaning problem: The food left by the previous guest was left in the refrigerator, and the cleaner came into the room right after the knock around 8 a.m. (I didn't have time to answer it), and I had to work until late, so I went to sleep in the morning, but I couldn't sleep.
3. I came out of the room just after 11 a.m., and returned to the room at 4:30 p.m., but it was not cleaned. I called the counter and asked for a towel because it was not cleaned, and there was no water provided as a service, so I called the counter again and tried to request it. However, when the counter staff answered the second call, they hung up before I was finished.
4. Last schedule (check-out) Around 8 o'clock, the cleaning staff came back into the room the same way, and I couldn't stand the situation anymore, so I went straight to the counter under check-out. There were 3 employees at the counter when we were checking out, and I asked one of them to proceed with the check-out, but after delaying each other, one of them proceeded with the check-out. (I don't know if they were busy in the morning, but the gestures that seemed to put off each other's work in front of the guests didn't look good.)
I have never complained while using the Hilton. I spent many schedules and business trips at the Hilton in Spain, Italy, Germany, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, the United Kingdom, France, Korea, and Japan. However, I will no longer use the Dobletree by Hilton in Berlin. I have to use it because of my personal schedule and business trip, but when my business trip to Berlin is scheduled again, I will use another hotel.
I wonder if there are any differences in hotel service between business and personal visits. If there are these service rules, I will make a reservation through the company next time.
One thing that impressed me was that the staff in charge of the Concierge at the main gate was really kind, and it was really impressive that they were busy but responded leisurely.
