Beautiful and serene, our timber frame house sits high on a wooded ridge with scenic views of the river valley below. We have a fireplace, in-ground pool, and a theater room with 10 foot wide screen. This is the perfect, relaxing retreat only 2 1/2 miles from town and restaurants, but feels secluded, like you're miles away from anything.The spaceSince this is my home, I have all of the comforts of home and amenities you could ever need. I want your stay to be not only comfortable, but memorable.My space is ideally suited for families, couples and individuals who don't mind some interaction with the host.I do often try to accommodate special requests for privacy, especially for newlyweds and couples celebrating special occasions, however, if total and complete privacy is what you're looking for, you might try another listing.Guest accessThe entire main floor, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, full kitchen, expansive great room with a grand piano and fireplace is yours to enjoy. There is a third bedroom and full bathroom downstairs. You will also have access to the home theater with a 10' screen, also downstairs. The theater has internet streaming options as well as a Blueray/DVD player. Three levels of outdoor decks overlooking the pool and the magnificent scenery are also included. The gas grill and hot tub are for your use and enjoyment. While very well suited for larger groups, my place is perfect for couples and individuals too. There is a second kitchen/rec room downstairs at the end of the hall that I keep separated and locked off from the rest of the house. I reserve this space to cook my meals, and for Rojo as his designated sleeping spot when he's not with guests. I also park my vehicle in the garage at the other end of the hallway.Other things to note:We are so glad that you have chosen us for your getaway. I want your stay to be comfortable, peaceful, and especially memorable. I’ve tried to provide the environment to accomplish just that, but I may have left something out. Inside, you'll enjoy our bright, open concept living room and kitchen. Our living room is the perfect setting for enjoying conversation with friends, snuggling up to watch a movie on our large Smart TV or playing foosball with the kids. Our kitchen features stunning granite countertops and bar seating plus all the necessary amenities for cooking, baking and making that perfect cup of coffee. On one end of the kitchen, you'll find our 6-person dining table with direct access to the porch. At the end of the day, choose from one of our three private bedrooms: (1) Our King bedroom complete with a closet, dresser, 55-inch Roku TV and en suite bath with shower and jacuzzi tub. (2) Our first Queen bedroom complete with a closet, 43-inch Roku TV, blackout curtains and nearby bathroom. (3) Our second Queen bedroom has a closet, blackout curtains and nearby bathroom. Through a sliding glass door off the dining room, you'll find an outdoor seating area complete with a bench, two chairs and a table. Here, you'll also have access to a doggy door leading out to our fenced in backyard and seasonally blooming garden boxes. House Rules that are strictly enforced: - Check-in is any time after 3:00 PM. - No parties or events are allowed unless your request was pre-arranged with us, the host, and our event fee has been paid. If an un-approved party or event is discovered, you will be fined $1000. - This property only allows dogs, with a maximum of 3, and requires a fee of $90 per dog to be paid prior to your stay. Dogs discovered at the property without prior notice or cats discovered at the property will incur a fine of $400. - Unauthorized checkout delays will incur a fine of $100 per hour. - This is a non-smoking home. If you smoke in the home, you will be fined $1000 plus the cost of any smoke remediation necessary.
