Helios Benidorm

Stayed for one night at this hotel for the first time and it won’t be the last already booked for October. The staff on reception were really helpful we arrived really early so room not ready which we expected but we were checked in and given a key to use the baggage storage room and toilets and could use the pool area. I was gutted as weather was amazing and the pool is heated a must for next time take the swimmers. The hotel is spotless everywhere. We had a standard double which was on the side opp Penny Farthing great double glazing never heard any road noise. No tea making facilities although you can get them at reception. Didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment. Will definitely recommend this hotel

Superb hotel here, excellent staff who try to accommodate you in any way they can. We were in a coach party of 40+ for a stay at Helios for 3 weeks. Our room on the 9th floor (911) looking out over the pool was a premium room which gave you a coffee machine (4 coffees replaced daily) a bathrobe and slippers and a bottle of water daily. It was well worth paying a little extra for the benefits as the coffee was lovely. Tip here, either bring a couple of mugs with you or buy a couple while out here, we bought 2 for 3€ and we used them every day. We loved it on the 9th floor looking out to the front of the hotel and we used the stairs every day (by choice to burn up the extra calories which you take in).The room was a fair size with a good bathroom with a shower. Slightly lacking for space as no drawers (we were here for 3 weeks so it probably would be ok for shorter stays and we did have 3 large suitcases). Our room was cleaned daily and supplies replaced. There was a bit of noise outside in the nights but it didn’t bother us. The restaurant (seats up to 500) with tables for two spread out throughout the dining room. A good selection of food for breakfast (with a free glass of cava) and dinner throughout our stay. As vegans we were a little limited for what we could eat especially for protein intake. After talking to the Operations Manager (Mercedes) she assured us that they could do much better for us and she passionately wanted us to have better options for us and said she would talk to the chefs. From that time on we were well accommodated. We had pasta bolognaise with seitan, stuffed aubergines, vegetable platter, beyond burger and on my birthday they even made me a curry which I absolutely loved. They even went out and bought some vegan bacon for us at breakfast. Plenty of salads, cakes, biscuits, as much ice cream as you want (self pour from machine) and a good selection of fruit at each sitting. Something for everyone. The chefs were so accommodating, polite and driven to please you with their food, total commitment by them and excellent service from all the staff in the restaurant, nothing could be faulted here, it was really exceptional service. Many thanks to all the chefs who gave us that special treatment especially David who planed most of our vegan meals. Facilities at the hotel were good. Plenty of sun beds (might be trickier at peak times) a nice swimming pool, a very good spa, and a small gym (3 cardio machines and a weight bench). The hotel also put on free yoga and mobility classes which we joined in with. The yoga class teacher was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed participating In the class. The mobility class was a little bit of stretching, yoga, with core work and balance and would be quite challenging for someone who hadn’t done any yoga etc before but I am sure he would develop the class dependant on the attendees. We used the spa and it had a jacuzzi, steam room and a sauna and costs €20 for two people for 45 minutes

We have stayed here twice in January already, and had two fantastic stays. The staff is brilliant, and beyond helpful, especially the reception staff. The food in the restaurant, along with the choice is just superb. The restaurant staff are also excellent. The rooms are great and the shower is powerful. The cleaners are very hardworking and friendly too. I used the spa every day, which was a total delight. Highly recommended in every way.

It's a 100% yes for the Helios We had to move from an apartment during our stay in benidorm due to not feeling comfortable and wanted to find alternative accommodation out of many hotels we chose the Helios and I am so pleased we did could not fault the hotel in any way. The staff was so friendly and helpful too meeting our needs on short notice and very friendly too the rooms was spacious and beds was very comfortable rooms was spotless and with a balcony with pool view found the full hotel a relaxing place to be with friendly people around and staff couldn't have been more helpful. The catering at the hotel for meals was lovley with many choices to choose from. The pool is heated and a bar where you can again relax with many choices of drinks and tasty snacks. Location was spot on to visit places around. Deffently will be staying again at the Helios on our next stay in Benidom

We stayed at the Helios from the 15th to the 25th October 2024. After weighing up the rooms on the hotel website, we decided to go for the more expensive “junior suite”. Allow me to say firstly, that on our numerous previous visits to Benidorm, the best hotel we have stayed at was the Don Pancho, so ever since then, I have tended to compare to that hotel. The Don Pancho is the only place I have stayed in Benidorm that I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at again – or that was the case until I stayed at the Helios. It really is a quality hotel, very clean, great staff, superb rooms, faultless service, I’d go back there in the blink of an eye. We haven’t stayed at the Helios previously, so I don’t really know how the junior suite compares to the other rooms. We had room 909, on the corner of the top (ninth) floor. How many hotel rooms have two tv’s? That in itself, was a bonus, when the other half wanted to watch British TV soaps. However, I don’t go away to watch TV, so just mentioning it for the people who do love to watch television in the hotel room. The biggest bonus in that room was the balcony. I’ve never had a balcony that large anywhere. Set out in a large “L” shape with the room is being on a corner, I estimated it to be around 23 to 25 square metres. If I could suggest anything at all to the hotel, it would be a couple of loungers as the balcony is without doubt, large enough to accommodate those along with the table and chairs already there. The only thing we didn’t really use in the hotel was the bar area. We walk a great deal, tend to use the hotel as a base only, so only went into the bar area once. The Helios doesn’t seem to be that big on hotel entertainment (or we just didn’t see much), but again, like the TV, we don’t sit around watching singers for the duration of the stay. With booking the junior suite, we had a complimentary session in the spa. Not like us, but we thought we’d give it a go and wasn’t disappointed with that either, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Meals? I myself, can be a fussy breakfast eater. On previous visits to Benidorm, I’ve never really left a hotel restaurant feeling satisfied after breakfast (including the Don Pancho). The Helios actually managed to achieve that as well. I left the restaurant every morning feeling well fed and ready for the day. Finally, the staff. Cannot compliment the hotel enough on the quality of their staff, but two in particular, stood out. I hope I spell their names correctly but Eduardo on the reception was brilliant – any problem, any issue, any enquiry, any question, nothing was a problem to him, a very efficient capable man. Down in the restaurant….Ruth – unlike other hotels where you present a card, you just say your room number and Ruth used to kind of sing the number back to us. Such a simple action but so amusing and always done with a big smile, really lovely. Would I

Hotel Helios is excellent and clean 4 star hotel Our room was great with lovely and good balcony. The room were cleaned each day by friendly and pro maid service. We had a half board for one week. All food was amazing and something for everyone. There was much choice for breakfast and dinner. We had a big wedding anniversary during our visit and hotel managers sent a surprise delivery to our room with a bottle of sparkling wine, a beautiful greeting card and sweets. Many thanks :) All staff was were friendly, helpful and professional. Thanks to all staff and managers ….we will be back :)
