Hotel Agua Azul - Adults Only

Great time from start to finish. Lovely greeting at reception, comfortable clean room, food and drink the best we have had on an all inclusive. We had a problem with the kettle in our room, I took it to reception and a new one arrived within 10 minutes. Entertainment in the evening, was just that, we laughed a lot and came away with lots to talk about. Ray, part of the entertainment team has started a walking tour of the old town. He is knowledgeable and informative and a really nice guy. There is no charge for this as Ray asked the hotel manager if he could do it, and he said yes. Another one of the areas where you can feel the hotel put the customer first. Great stay will definitely return.

Not sure who is supposed to have awarded this 4 stars. I might call it 3 stars if being generous. Room was a bit small and there is no separate bathroom. The shower opens straight into the bedroom, so no privacy, makes the floor damp and steams the room up. The shower head height is extremely low - below shoulder height if you're tall. I had to sit down to be able to wash my hair. Basin forms the central focus of the bedroom area and is separated from the bedside by a glass partition which you will certainly walk into at night. There is no hanging space around the basin or shower on which to hang drying towels or clothes. Only 1 towel rail in the entire room. Toilet has a frosted glass door which is entirely see through with the light on - it looks like that sketch from the Austin Powers movie! You will also hear everything! Good luck if you want to maintain any sense of romance or worse, are staying with friends!! The balcony doors are not at all sound proof and so all night long you hear everything going on outside. On the whole the food was good but we were only half board and were surprised water wasn't provided with the evening meal. The ketchup provided is awful, very artificial tasting. Coffee provided at breakfast was undrinkable. Only 1 lift was working. On the plus side the staff were friendly, everything was clean and the airport shuttle drops you off outside.

We were put in wrong rooms to start with because jet2 can’t organise things. They had a few rooms free but wouldn’t accommodate at all. Food was lovely but we all had bad stomachs on Sunday till we left, spoke to a few people some of whom were sick. Drinks were good, branded spirits and beer. It’s not great for disabled people it’s got really slow lifts aswell. Lots of old folk there 70+ I was one of the youngest at 42. Rooms are weird, open showers no privacy. Toilet doors are see through - not great is it? They need redesign. Noticeable Starch smell to the bed sheets and towels which you get a wiff of. Saw a staff member in the town stealing from people’s bags , imagine how many times he’s done that? Does he do it in the hotel? Location was great literallly go left for new town or right for old. Overall they’d be better getting away from jet2 it’s gunna damage their business. A Cleaner soaked the floor and a friend slipped and bruised his leg and elbow aswell as smashed iPhone - no one cares. Won’t return after we fell ill - save yourself before it’s too late!
