I've booked this hotel twice now, due to it's close proximity to the hospital. The first time we had terrible front desk service but I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt since it was 2020 and things were a little unusual at the time. Now, two years later the price was higher and the service was even worse. The front office needs some serious PR skills. If check in time is 3pm you should be able to check in to your room close to 3pm, especially if you've made a reservation. We arrived in town slightly early and was told our room wasn't ready. That was fine, we were early so I understood . I asked if it would be ready by 3pm and was told it would be so we went across the street to get a few things at the store. When we arrived back to the hotel we were told our room wasn't ready (by a different front desk person) so we said we'd just hang out and wait and then were told it would be at least 30-45 minutes, that we should just go get something to eat and she'd call us when we could check in. That was rude in itself for all sorts of reasons. We had 2 small dogs with us, it was a hot day, we had a medical issue, hence the desire for a hotel close to the hospital. We walked around for an hour, giving them plenty of time to get our room ready. When we went back to the hotel, the room still wasn't ready and we weren't offered a time when it might be. No apologies, nothing. I kind blew up then. She didn't care in the least, told us she'd cancel our reservation if we wanted her to. 10 minutes later we canceled our 2 night reservation after finding another hotel that was much more accommodating with a much friendlier staff. I will never stay at Sleep Inn again. BTW, I was a member of Choice Hotel rewards program. Doesn't matter. Seems they don't care if they get your business or not.
