Hotel is lovely, and staff are both friendly and welcoming. Not sure where the negative reviews came from. We stayed for a week in total, and were only sorry we hadn't booked for longer. We would happily book again, pool area and pool itself is super. Look forward to our next visit.

Another fantastic stay at this hotel, staff and management are polite friendly and always accommodating to requests, hotel itself is attractive, with some beautiful Mountain View’s, staff work hard to keep the whole hotel clean and inviting, rooms are spacious, clean and well equipped with fridge, huge comfortable bed, and sofa bed in lounge is also VERY comfortable. Food is good, a nice selection, breakfast was included in our price and my hubby enjoyed the freshly cooked omelettes, we ate in the hotel a couple of nights and thought there was a good choice and good quality of food for a very reasonable price. The hotel has a gym and a beautiful spa which we used on this trip I had reflexology and massage which was heaven, therapist was excellent with good knowledge and gave me some helpful tips and advice. The hotel is situated in a good location with supermarkets, shops and restaurants a 5 min drive away (15/20 mins on foot). San Pedro is no more than a 10 min drive with a beautiful beach and sea front strip with some lovely restaurants and bars. I would say it’s easier if you have a car but Ubers/taxis are also easy to book and not over priced. Will definitely be returning and would highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We are currently on our last evening here at Oh Nice Caledonia before leaving for home in the morning. British guests. We got our deal via StayForLong, also read horror stories, but the price was fantastic for 8 nights, nothing went wrong at all. The stay was great. When we arrived, staff were friendly. Not all fluent but between us it wasn’t a problem. We got to choose which floor our room was on, which was ideal for pool access. The hotel seems to be less busy on the first few days of the week and then gets busy during the weekends. Very popular with families from all across Europe and even Morocco. We had a breakfast included deal, not the biggest range available, especially for plant based guests, but there’s sufficient available including alternative milks etc. Vegetarian options is probably where they have room for improvement. We paid for dinner one night, around 70 euro for 4, and it was just a buffet style. Go out for food somewhere else, it’s not bad by any means at the hotel, it’s just nothing special which you might want from a holiday and it’d cost about the same. Buffet dinner is even worse if you’re vegetarian also. Rooms are nice, cleaners are in during breakfast time to provide new towels and bedding, so the rooms have good upkeep daily. A standard room with two beds and a sofa bed is not enough for two adults and two kids, but we managed, take this into consideration if you’re booking for four, next time I’d get a two room booking. Rooms are also air conditioned, we left both of ours on and it was a godsend coming to cool off in the room after a long day. No problem with sleeping in heat either. The only real criticism and I’m not sure why it was happening was my key card for the room stopped working three times. Not a deal breaker but it did become annoying having to walk up to reception soaked from the pool several times. I think it’s quite common as they weren’t phased upon presenting the broken card each time. In terms of facilities at the hotel, indoor pool and gym is great, outdoor pool is great. They have events for kids and guests but it’s quite repetitive, not the kind of hotel I’d stay at if I wasn’t intending to leave the premises. Pool was open from 10-8, as was the pool bar. Pool bar wasn’t expensive, average. Rooms are close enough that you should just buy your own alchohol and use the hotels plastic cups they provide, you’d save yourself a lot of money. Directly around the hotel, there isn’t much, twenty minute walk will get you down to the beach, but there isn’t much there other than more expensive hotels and their beach bars. Cancelada is the main town just west of the hotel, some nice restaurants there that wouldn’t cost too much in a taxi, but not a beachfront town. My recommendation would be to hire a car for this hotel, much better is Marbella and Estapona for food and things to do. These are probably a bit too far to be economical with purely taxis. Do some research on day trips before coming as you

Pleasantly surprised. We had read alot of bad reviews so it was a bit daunting but we've stayed here for 4 nights as a couple with friends, as we're here for a wedding. The rooms are nice and spacious, big bathroom, kitchen facilities, large wardrobes with mirrors and AC, and a sitting lounge area. There is a good gym and spa. The WIFI is good. The water pressure in the shower is very strong. The downside - The food is not good at all, hence the dropped star but we figured that out on the first night and stopped eating at the hotel. If you plan to come and stay here your whole trip without exploring just be aware the food is below average. Otherwise it might be better to hire a car to go to different places as we did.

The hotel is lovely and clean, reception staff are friendly. Hotel grounds are very beautiful, Comfortable beds and very spacious rooms. The only faults were first a male member of staff walking into our room suddenly with his housekeeping card . It was a shock, he apologied quickly and left. We fell asleep at 10.30pm an hour later woken to heavy speakers from the hotel restaurant, sounded like a live performance going on. Noise was soo loud despite no windows being open.i don’t think live performance with speakers 3 minutes to midnight is fair to hotel guests. What we thought would be 1 night relaxing stay, turned into us failing to sleep all night. The live entertainment went on until 1am, then drunk hotel guests were sat on balconies having loud discussions until 2am. Sadly this let the hotel down, management shouldn’t allow loud entertainment to go on for so long, although nothing can be done about guests choosing to converse late at night it led to us not having a good night’s sleep and I can say this is the first time I have ever experienced a bad night’s sleep in a hotel.

We didn't get the room we had booked and paid for instead downgraded & offered no compensation! Witnessed this happening to multiple guests upon check in whilst standing in a Lobby that is 100 degrees due to glass roof and non existence air conditioning. Distracted staff sorting out kids in room behind reception, must have been bring your kid to work day. Dogs wee around hotel, pool etc don't walk barefooted. Wasteland on side of hotel used a dogs toilet area, disgusting. Guess that's part of the dog friendly policy. Kids pool area was a deadtrap inflatable slide with a waterhose running down it. Usual sunbed shortage during August. Staff lie and are rude, requests ignored. Underground carpark used as storage for hotel & staff only parking. You'll be forced to park on local streets as very limited space an site. Miles from anything, you'll need a car or pay for taxis. So many other nicer hotels closer on the beach and near shops. Luckily only stayed 2 nights, didn't unpack as read reviews about theft from rooms. Maid came on day 2 whilst out and didn't change sheets or towels, only made up beds and stole my sons baseball hat with a letter J on it (J names popular in Spain). Reception didn't care, took zero interest. Water, coffee etc in rooms in not replenished, when I enquired was told that this is normal. Hotel Oh So NOT nice Caledonia. Not a 4 star

Lovely hotel. Pool great for adults and children. Pool bar prices vary, we felt that we were overcharged on occasion and we heard other people saying this too. Most staff not particularly friendly but the one exception was Pedro from the pool bar & restaurant. A bit remote, had to drive everywhere or get a taxi, 30 euros to Estepona, so be aware of this. Great if all you want to do is stay by the pool all day. As an English family, I must admit that we did not feel overly welcome.

My partner and I (aged 27/28) travelled here for a mini break. Staff are lovely, loads of choice in the buffet (we went all inclusive) and the adult only pool is great but too cold to properly enjoy. It’s ages from civilisation which isn’t ideal considering there’s only 2 bars and a restaurant filled with young children which kills the vibe a bit. There are shuttles twice a day to local town, but the bus back is at 530 and if you want to stay later (go out for the night) a taxi back is £60. The hotel surroundings are run down the rooms need a good update. If you want to watch tv there’s one English Channel which is the news. The bed and sofa are rock solid. Don’t come here if you intend to have a mad weekend, couples retreat or hen/stag. There’s just no party atmosphere and although there’s entertainment at night, it’s mainly targeted towards children. The beach is only accessible by car at least 20 minutes away. The activities at the resort include, again, what I would consider to be child orientated only. The whole resort reminds me of an all inclusive hostel, except you have your own apartment. It’s a shame, there’s alot or potential for it to be so much more. I would only recommend for a family, for a short period of time and go all inclusive or you’ll be out a fortune (also hire a car)
