Super 8 by Wyndham Belleville

Average hotel. Should not say it offers breakfast. Breakfast consisted of prepacked (2 or 3) donuts to a package and a thermos of coffee that sits in the lobby. It was a place to sleep and shower, since we were covered in dirt from being in the races.

1. The computer system was “updating” and declined our card. There is nothing wrong with my account or card. Had to walk to atm for cash. 2. Lobby smells like armpit. 3. Hallway smells like cigarette smoke covered by liberal use of incense. 4. Took actual work to find working light switch in room. 5. Lights in bedside lamp work fine, but the outlets on it for device plug-in appear to be 1/3 pulled out. Pretty sure they will eat my phone. 6. Unidentified tuft of fluff on credenza. 7. Loose bolts on toilet seat. Wheee! 8. Dirty and loud vent fan in bathroom. Bathroom generally dank and unpleasant. Don’t look in the corners, life is better not knowing. 9. Tub drains slowly and silicon seal in surround is dirty and distressed. 10. Room smells like changing room at public pool. 11. Towels are clean. 12. Clerk was earnest and apologetic, but I’m still watching my credit card statement like a hawk. 13. Bed was…present. 14. AC unit not functional except in “constant” mode. 15. Room very quiet.

This was the dirtiest and most disgusting hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I was on a solo cross-country trip and just needed a place to lay my head down so I stopped here but I was very disappointed in everything the toilet looked as it has never been clean the bedspread had burn holes in it the light fixtures look like they’ve never been washed down. It was disgusting

Our room was very dirty. Stains on the walls and carpet. The air conditioner kept freezing up and stopping. Our deadbolt did not latch unless you lifted the door and turned the knob at the same time. There were stains in the toilet and shower. There was a toothpaste cap down in the sink drain and the drain had no cover. The room smelled musty. There was a white stain where we think water was leaking on the air conditioner onto the carpet. There are people coming in and out of the side doors which are propped open. The hallway carpets are not clean. There was trash in the hallways that wasn't picked up the whole time we were there. The breakfast is a packaged pastry. My relatives were also at the hotel and had similar observations. One of the TVs never worked. None of us will ever stay there again.

The overall experience was disappointing, unnerving and unsettling! The room was dirty, smelled old and musty. Only had muffins for breakfast! Stains covered the sheets and pillow cases! Do not stay!!
