Belleview Inn

What a wonderful experience my friends and I enjoyed at this beautiful hotel. It was a quick little getaway that turned into a relaxing, warm, and wonderfully enjoyable stay. First and most importantly, the wonderful staff: Nora was so warm in her welcome and knowledge of the hotel and surrounding areas. She greeted us with a glass of champagne, a beautiful smile, and incredible kindness. She was able to answer all of our questions and even recommended a wonderful restaurant for dinner! Mattie was also wonderful in her manner and excellent service to our group. Travis, who attended the reception desk over night was also very nice. Excellence and attention from their staff truly sets this Hotel apart. Second, the hotel itself is beautiful. We felt as if we had stepped into another world or time. Serenity and relaxation as soon as we walked into this hidden gem. The lobby and public rooms are well designed, cozy and light, giving an upscale yet relaxed vibe that was wonderful for our getaway! The room was spacious, clean and very well appointed. The grounds are beautifully maintained and planned for the comfort and enjoyment of the hotel guests. Five stars for the hidden treasure.

Two elderly, exhausted travelers thought they had a reservation at The Belleview Inn for the night. Not so they were told. There was space. They pulled out a credit card, were registered and directed to room 301. The immaculate room was spacious as was the well-appointed bathroom with shower. There was a picnic basket outside the door in the morning. It contained 2 croisants, 2 jars of orange juice, 2 apples, packets of butter and jelly. There was a Keurig coffee maker in the room. We spent time sitting in rocking chairs admiring the view before we checked out at 11.

This place is so classic and romantic. Not a lot of thrills but it’s beautiful. It is the quietest hotel you will ever visit. The piano in the lobby plays automatically in the early evening. The pool is wonderful. Friendly staff and free bikes to ride around.

My wife and I have been coming to The Belleview Inn since celebrating our wedding reception there in 1993. It has always been a special place to us. A lot has changed since then and not for the better. A few years ago, we booked a 3 night stay, only to be welcomed with a major construction project happening outside of our room. It was so loud that we couldn’t enjoy any of the outdoor amenities. Had we been informed about this beforehand, we would have make other arrangements. Fast forward to last year...after reserving a very special suite for our 30th wedding anniversary, we arrived to find out that they switched our room. They gave our room away to another guest. The General Manager admitted the error and said he would accommodate us on our next visit. I reached out today to book a 3 night stay for our anniversary next week. I spoke with the new General Manager about our experience last year. She seemed the least bit interested, almost to the point of being bothered. She offered us a 20% discount off our room rate. Since Florida Residents already get a 15% discount, her offer amounted to a net 5%. Hardly accommodating. It’s unfortunate that after 30+ years and countless referrals over that time, we are closing this chapter at The Belleview Inn. Hopefully this review will get noticed by someone at Opal Collection Resorts.

Firstly the property is stunning and beautiful. It doesn’t stand alone like in the pictures but is surrounded by large condo blocks which surprised me. I loved most things about our stay, we checked in early which was wonderful, the staff were wonderful too. I’d like to point out how dangerous the plastic seat in the shower is to sit on, as it’s very slippery, luckily I didn’t fall I have a serious spinal problem and it would have been very bad for me. The plastic covering the entry step into our shower was so sharp I hurt my toes twice, I did learn after that. A disappointing part of our stay was the dust levels in the room were like nothing I’ve ever seen in a hotel room, it clearly hasn’t been cleaned properly and the AC just blows it around. I’ve stayed in 4 hotels this trip alone and many around the world and this isn’t acceptable. I was also greeted by 2 long black hairs sticking out on the shower wall which was unpleasant. I would love to return and have faith these problems will be corrected, I didn’t complain because I couldn’t be bothered, I was grateful to get away from the flooding in Naples Florida and was happy to see the sunshine

My cousin had a wedding we found blood in one of our rooms/ along with mold on shower curtains. I brought it up to General Manager she treated my wife with the worst attitude - was not accommodating. We had issues with three other people in our party. I think her name was Jennifer she had red hair curly- looked extremely weathered/ bitter. We asked for a room change they couldn’t accommodate. We brought a black- please understand this place is extremely dirty and not taken care. Very disappointed. My cousin was horrified when she found this out.

Beautiful building, great history. The staff were amazing, so helpful and warm. All of them were equally great and my son missed not being able to say goodbye to Nora, she was a lovely lady. We felt very safe, comfortable and enjoyed the facilities very much. We used the gym daily, the bikes and the pool and spa. The sister hotel in Clearwater is definitely an added bonus for the use of the beach and the parking. There is a small cafe on site run by the hotel staff which adds to the charm. After 8pm this is closed. There are no restaurants around in walking distance apart from the country club. We did try to have dinner there but they refused as our son had a collared shirt but only smart shorts, both my husband and I could meet the dress code, this was the only disappointment and seemed a little stuffy. I would be very happy to return to this hotel.

This is a lovely historic hotel which has been totally renovated. Rooms are modern with lovely bathrooms and comfy beds. We enjoyed our stay here, however, be aware that there is not much nearby regarding food. You can eat at the adjacent country club, but it has a dress code - collared shirts for men, dresses, skirts or nice slacks for women, no jeans, shorts or leggings. The only suggestion I have is a microwave in the room to warm food. Nice touch of a picnic basket for breakfast consisting of a croissant, apple and orange juice.

This is a very special place total relaxation, close to Clearwater rooms are spectacularly comfortable the grounds are beautiful, cannot wait to come back . Pool area is ideal for relaxing easy to park safe and secure location , highly recommend this venue .
