Field and Stream

I was desperate for a couple of days to get away from everything, clear my head and have some much needed fishing therapy I got exactly what I needed You will not find a better, more beautiful place to and absolutely relax

We were upgraded to the Cormorant Cove and had a lovely weekend. The fireplace was a bonus as the wind was howling outside and not suitable to sit outside. The cabin has everything you need and the walks around the area are beautiful. The road up to the property was a bit hectic but we managed.

What a lovely place! Close enough to town to go and watch the rugby, far enough to relax in the quietness of the countryside. Fish was slow but for the month of September was happy with the trout that was landed

We stayed here over the long weekend. The setting is very beautiful, and there are really nice dams for fishing. Lots of space to walk around. We stayed in the Lodge, and it was great being able to share one space with many bedrooms as a family. It has everything you need for self-catering. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. We were there over a very cold spell and the house is not very well-insulated. We had to put tape on the windows in the bedroom where the children were sleeping because even though they were closed there was a draft coming in which blew the curtains. The fireplace therefore didn't really help too much. The place could pay more attention to cleanliness. We had to wash plates before using them from the cupboard, the dishwashing sponge given was old and dirty, cupboard handles were sticky, fluffy material covers on toilet lids with stains. I don't think we would stay here again because, although it's nice being off the beaten track, the farm road is very difficult to drive on which makes getting into town a very long and stressful trip. Suggest only going in an SUV or bakkie, my small car made it in and out but not without a few scrapes and a lot of stress.

What a great place to stay! You definitely need a high clearance vehicle to get there but you feel like you in the middle of nowhere. The place is well looked after and the paths to everywhere are well marked and maintained. If you have dogs, it is magical for them ours had the time of their life. Gavin the manager is so helpful and nothing too much trouble. The kids loved the waterfall and swimming in the streams. Clay pigeon shooting was lots of fun too!

It was an amazing experience. It's the first place we went to that was actually pet friendly!! If you travel with pets and you love the outdoors, I would highly recommend this beautiful place! It has natural pools that are walking distance from your accomodation. And the waterfall is only 3km from the chalets. Also in walking distance. Loved the peach and quite that refresh your soul. Wish we could stay there forever!!
