Selectum Family Resort Belek

We don't like such types of staying, like all inclusive, etc, but we decided to stay. We are a family of 4, two kids 6yo and 2yo. We were thinking, that it would be easier to stay in the hotel all inclusive, but we were wrong. Don't travel with kids to such places like that. You will feel tired anyway. You will pay a lot(like $500+ per day in summer), but you should take care of the kids almost all the time. The location is not so good, it is kind of in the middle of nowhere. We stayed about 5 nights and it was crazy, because there is nothing to do, just eat, swim in the sea and sleep. No way to walk anywhere. There are some activities in the hotel, but it will not be very interesting if you are not always drunk. Some activities for kids exist, aqua park, and kids zone, have no complaints, that is working. The waiters in the restaurant are very lazy and don't offer you drinks. They could help you in the restaurant by removing dirty plates, but they are not very happy about it. You have to go get the food to feed yourself and your kids again and again. No berries in the restaurant. Food options are wide and that is good it must be good, but you want to try everything and will not feel comfortable after it. Beer options are bad. Wine is even worse, that is the worst wine I've ever tried. I visited Belek downtown to buy something drinkable. Let me think about what was good. We got a penthouse room (we paid extra for it) the view from the room was amazing, but there is no food delivery to the room to have breakfast on the balcony with a nice view. If you want to grab good coffee you should visit the cafe around the bridge.

Second time here but everything is changed.. quality dropped down like allot and is not what it was before and this is a shame because the theritory is amazing. I point some of the changes bellow: - food quality mediocre (very good 2 years ago) - food diversity low (much better 2 years ago) - drinks are ok except wines .. very low quality and no options.. beer only Effes (more options 2 years ago) - 24/7 restaurant is not open 24 hours like it was 2 years ago. The food quality and options are poor (was amazing 2 years ago) - a la carte restaurants - same.. lowered quality and options ex. If you book the Turkish a la carte, you will get same food that you get in the main restaurant .. so i don't recomand to waste the time.. 2 years ago was really special .. we had an amazing dinner with specialities and very very good lamb chops (not in menu anymore). I can say that you will find something good to eat but don't have big expectations. Overall food quality is midd-low. Coffee quality low except the coffee shop from river garden who is the best options to enjoy a good coffee. I recommend to avoid main building accommodation because everything is old and needs serious renovation.. bungalows I think are the better option as i noticed. In the main building the rooms are ok but aged, very old elevators, carpets full of stains and old .. we received the room not good cleaned but everything was changed in the next day and the rest days of our stay because the cleaning lady did a very good job each time ( our room was 1718). Entertainment driped down.. 2 years ago, each night were quality shows in the arena and after that, live music at the pool stage, live music at the 24/7 restaurant, relax shows at the garden coffee shop, fire pits in the night, etc.. now, most of them were missing and what it was, was not so interesting. Staff&service - poor comparing with our last stay.. i think they are not enough and most of them not specialized still there are some good people who work really hard and do an amazing job. Not anyone know a bit of english so it might be a bit difficult but you can find a work around. Because i mentioned the down parts, i need to mention the good ones: Theritory is amazing Bars & Pools are very nice Beach amazing For new travelers, with a correct price, it can be good.. for last years visitors, will be disappointment. We were a group of 10 and we enjoyed our stay because we love the theritory, the beach and the pools. We tried to see only the best things and to enjoy our holiday. Do we return? Absolutely yes but only after renovations and after this year administration with its current vision will be changed. Dropping down the quality to mentain the prices, is not healthy for the business (my personal opinion).
