Hotel Yoo

Excellent location for visiting the Forbidden City, Tiananmen, National Museum and many other attractions as they are within walkable distances or a short ride away. Wangfujing is also around the corner and within walking distance. The family room that we reserved was of a decent size for 3 person. It comes with a living area and kitchenette. This unit also comes with a washing machine, although the machine does not have drying function. The best aspect of Hotel Yoo is the service provided by the front desk staff. They were attentive and helpful. However, the condition of the room and the level of cleanliness are subpar. The room shows some wear and it's all held together by "home repair", not the level you would expect of a hotel. Parts of the floor tiling in the living area had been damage and you can tell that maintenance patch it up with some plastic over the top of the damaged tiles. It's just "plastered" over the damaged parts. The hotel owner needs to invest more in maintenance and facelift. The biggest concern would be housekeeping and cleanliness standards. It seems like our unit wasn't vacuumed on a daily basis. Either that or some areas were missed by housekeeping over our 6 nights stay. Also, the shower area was constantly clogged with hair, which impeded water drainage. Housekeeping doesn't seem to be able to spot this due to the black tiles in the shower area.

The hotel environment was very good, the facilities also good. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Good location. Front office, Alex Tang was very thoughtfull and help us a lot. Recommend to stay here

Was very easy to find and check in. They even upgraded my room. The owner let me rent an umbrella from him and Xiao Wang and Xiao Pan were the people that helped me the best at check out. Thanks Yoo!

Very poor breakfast, very poor sound isolation with a lot noise from around. The wifi is poor like having nothing at all. The breakfast is disgusting and it is the first hotel serving poorest breakfast (we travel almost half of a year), been to the hotels better or worst than this, the food is the least thing we need to worry. The food is abundant in China, but I can’t imagine hotel can serve **** to customers,rather they don’t serve at all. Never come back again!

The location was good as it is just next to Tiananmen. However, best to go to Wang Fu Jing metro station which is quite some walk away. On the service, the front desk service was alright. Unfortunately, the breakfast service leaves much to be desired. They do not replenish readily and can run out of items. The 2 service personnel did not have a welcoming personality although they are in service line. And one of them actually took some of the breakfast food and eat at 9.30am (which is the end of the breakfast) at the dining hall. It was quite unexpected and undesired. Although there were free laundry service, but the dryers are not working as well. And the technician at the hotel doesn't seem to know how the dryers or washing machines work. They had nearly wanted to take out my laundry from the washing machine and place into a dirty laundry basket. Completely appalling! Overall these 2 incidents was enough to make the stay unmemorable. And also they were doing some renovation works and the carpets reeked of a smell.

The overall experience is generally great. The location is near to public transport and attractions. We booked the inter connecting room. The service of staff , especially 小洁 and 小薛 at the reception are friendly. Good for families.
